About the Book

The second instalment in the Grumpy Middle-Aged Dad Adventures sees our chubby Black Country hero jet off once again to Orlando to experience more expensive pretend happiness. This time, his trusty travelling companion is Teenage Daughter Lottie, who came along partly as celebration for her 18th birthday and partly because she survived meningitis. Oh, and because it was a free holiday. Grumpy Middle-Aged Dad (and Lottie) - More Adventures in Orlando is a bitter sweet tale of their time in the Sunshine State, and captures the madness and chaos of the self-named "happiest place on earth" whilst celebrating the special bond between father and daughter. All proceeds from the sale of this book, apart from the bit that Mr Amazon keeps for himself to run his big expensive warehouses, will be donated to the Meningitis Now charity. They carry out amazing work in the research and prevention of meningitis and offer support to children and families who have been affected by this terrible disease - just like what happened to my Lottie when she was just three weeks old. So once you've stopped reading this, do yourself a favour and add it to the basket in the top right hand corner. Thanks!
About the Author: Michael Hadley is the Grumpy Middle-Aged Dad. Aged 50. Hadley was born at an early age and brought up by Wolves in the heart of The Black Country. After surviving the wilds of school in downtown Coseley, failing his A levels in a-bit-posher Sedgley, and disappointing his Dad by working in the family business in Brierley Hill, he eventually settled down with his gorgeous wife and two amazing kids on the outskirts of Wolverhampton. With absolutely zero writing experience or talent, Hadley decided to have a crack at writing a funny book after finding out that you don't really need to be any good at writing to be a writer as Amazon will publish anything. Hadley's first foray (nice word) into writing was his first book, Grumpy Middle-Aged Dad - Adventures in Orlando. In that book, Hadley (why am I writing this like I don't know myself? Everybody knows this is being written by me) blogged his way around the best-known sites of Orlando, including all of Mr Disney's finest Psycho Parks and a few trips to see Mr Universal. Believe it or not, it was a success so he decided to do it again. What an ego that man has. And wonderful, perky buttocks too. At the end of the day, Hadley's having a go so fair play. Oh, and he donates all the money to charity so the more he sells the greater the donation. Plus better the chances of him going straight to heaven. It's better than not bothering at all (but not much) and goes to show what can be achieved with limited talent, lots and lots of spare time, a half decent laptop and an abundance of cheap booze.
