Love All Even When the World Hates YouIn the thirteenth chapter of Corinthian I in the Bible, we have a hard-hitting analysis of LOVE and the secret of life and happy living. The author, the Scottish evangelist, Henry Drummond, considers what the Bible too considers, as the greatest thing in the world. Love prevails and lives forever.

Outside the Bible, this little devotional book which is a meditation on the Corinthian 13th chapter, is the favorite among many people, providing constant hope, encouragement and mind cleansing.

Drummond analyzes Godly love based on the chapter and presents you nine ingredients of love, namely:

1. Patience
2. Kindness
3. Generosity
4. Humility
5. Courtesy
6. Unselfishness
7. Good temper
8. Guilelessness
9. Sincerity

In a world which has forgotten this law of LOVE, especially when it comes to the application level, this book asks you to show real love, courtesy, generosity, humility, etc. even in the middle of chaos and the trend of this current world now, and that is the cornerstone message of this book.

Some Insights From the Book:

1. And then, after having learned all that, you have to learn this further thing, HUMILITY--to put a seal upon your lips and forget what you have done. After you have been kind, after Love has stolen forth into the world and done its beautiful work, go back into the shade again and say nothing about it.

2. It is better not to live than not to love.

3. What makes a man a good cricketer? Practice. What makes a man a good artist, a good sculptor, a good musician? Practice. What makes a man a good linguist, a good stenographer? Practice. What makes a man a good man? Practice. Nothing else.

4. Eternal life also is to know God, and God is love. This is Christ's own definition. Ponder it. "This is life eternal, that they might know Thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent."

Note: A pure love, excels and exceeds almost all else.

About the Author:

Rev. Henry Drummond FRSE LLD FGS (17 August 1851 - 11 March 1897) was a Scottish evangelist, writer and lecturer.

Drummond was born at Park Place in Stirling, the son of William Drummond (d.1888) a seedsman (founder of Drummond Seeds), and his wife, JaneCampbell Blackwood (d.1910). His early education was at Stirling High School and Morrison's Academy.

He was educated at Edinburgh University, where he displayed a strong inclination for physical and mathematical science. The religious element was an even more powerful factor in his nature, and disposed him to enter the Free Church of Scotland. While preparing for the ministry, he became for a time deeply interested in the evangelizing mission of Moody and Sankey, in which he actively co-operated for two years.

He is remembered by many today for his meditations on the 1 Corinthians 13. The Book The Greatest Thing in the World is helping many even today to find their way back to happiness, love, kindness, humility, etc. A gem of a book.
