About the Book

'Grandma, Tell Me More!" is a collection of three exciting stories packed with values that can be read out to children. Sowing seeds to help recognise the good and opt for it has been the fundamental objective of moral stories. The stories in this book are a fresh weave spiked with interesting characters and their adventures. The first story, 'Bondy Goes Fishing' is about a young boy who revels in others' mistakes. That leaves him with no friends, especially when he finds himself in a tight spot. He seeks a second chance. When he gets an opportunity to mend his ways, what does he do? Read on... The second story-cum-poem, 'Clock-A-Doooodle-Doo' attempts to point out how the urban and the rural lifestyles should complement and not compete with each other. This message is relayed through an interesting debate between a cock and a clock. The cock signifies the rustic and the clock signifies the chic. The third story, 'Junior's Cosmic Battle' is about obedience and how it is critical for youngsters to obey parents and the truth despite not understanding the logic behind any instruction. The message is rendered through a fictional character from the cosmic realms.
About the Author: The writer (a novice in writing short stories) acknowledges that childhood is the best training arena to infuse values pertaining to ethical living. Unethical lifestyle evident through natural fruits of the flesh such as lying, bullying, mocking, lusting, etc. are some of the traits that need to be treated right at a young age as these are likely to form the character or eventually evolve into personality traits. The writer aims to write short stories that bring out these basic issues of human nature and the need to mend ways towards Christ-likeness...almost as if it were a 'precious awakening'! The writer under the pseudo name, 'Precious Awakening', writes short stories primarily targeted at young adults. However, the writer believes ethical living is applicable across ages and so prays the stories also appeal to a larger mass. The writer, from India, is a born-again Christian and believes in the Lord Jesus Christ and is committed to following His Word in the Bible as led by His Holy Spirit. She is happily married (to her first and only dear husband!) with a young son (8 years at the time of self-publishing this first book). One of the goals this writer had was to write and publish a book before turning 40! The writer has no experience in this field apart from writing articles, blog posts, etc. Christ has made it possible for the writer to weave in these stories and self-publish the book, by bringing in support for the illustrations and a whole gamut of publishing tool as available in CreateSpace, all at their respective times of need. All glory and praise due unto His name as He enabled to meet this goal! And a special thanks to everyone who's prayed and stood by the writer in this endeavour. Your prayers are needed for the writer to continue in this space!
