Examensarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Didaktik für das Fach Englisch - Pädagogik, Sprachwissenschaft, Note: 1,0, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: "[...] we are going to drive only the last weeks to Italy" (Aigner 2001: 125). Derartig falsche Sätze findet man bei deutschen Lernern des Englischen immer wieder. Die meisten Sprachkundigen würden beim Hören dieses Satzes wahrscheinlich dem Eindruck zustimmen, dass dieser sich deshalb falsch anhört, weil er irgendwie 'zu deutsch' klingt (vgl.: Wir fahren nur die letzten Wochen nach Italien). Aber warum klingt dieser Satz eigentlich so deutsch? Und warum kommt es immer wieder zu derartigen Fehlern beim Erwerb des Englischen als Fremdsprache? Die Gründe hierfür liegen in der ständigen Präsenz der Muttersprache. "Muttersprachen wirken - ungewollt und ungerufen - in die Fremdsprache hinein und produzieren dort die gefürchteten Interferenzen " (Butzkamm 2004: 146). Dabei handelt es sich keineswegs um Ausnahmeerscheinungen. "Muttersprachlicher Transfer hat sich als die Hauptursache für fremdsprachliche Fehler herausgestellt" (Schloter 1992: 134). Dieser findet sich besonders bei Anfängern in den verschiedensten Bereichen der Sprache wieder. "Je weniger wir eine Fremdsprache ausgebaut haben, desto leichter lässt sie sich von der Muttersprache infizieren, angefangen bei Lautung und Schreibung bis hin zur Idiomatik und Pragmatik" (Butzkamm 2004: 146). Den am stärksten betroffenen Bereich stellt dabei der Satzbau dar (vgl. Ideler 2001: 297; Aigner 1996: 152 ff.). Vor diesem Hintergrund erscheint es lohnenswert, genau für diesen Bereich zu untersuchen, wie und warum die Muttersprache den Fremdsprachenerwerb negativ beeinflusst. Diese Erkenntnisse können als Grundlage dienen, Ansätze für einen Grammatikunterricht zu entwickeln, der dazu beiträgt, derartige Interferenzen zu vermeiden.
