About the Book

There's a belief in Christendom that the more believers there are in a community or a nation, the more that community or nation will be affected for good. In other words, the belief is that the greater the Christian presence, the greater will be the benefit to society as a whole. The increase in the number of believers in a community or nation is evidence of fruitfulness in terms of the salvation message and their continued presence in churches is evidence of great messages being preached. However, much more needs to be done before all this evidence translates to actual fruitfulness in the Kingdom of God. The Gospel of the Kingdom - Part One starts off by interrogating these church statistics and then engages in a process called 'reverse navigation' and takes you back to the very beginning as far as the existence of man is concerned. It's a story that looks at the state of man before the fall when he was still connected to God, and after he fell into sin. It reveals the specific thing that changed in his genetic configuration to turn him into the person he is today.Thereafter, it begins to look at God's plan to restore man to his pre-fall state and reveals how God began to re-establish His kingdom here on earth beginning in the Old Testament through Abraham and his descendants. It also looks at prophecies and symbolisms used by these people and how they pointed to the coming of the Christ, who was to provide man with a way to re-connect with his heavenly Father. The story follows the life of Jesus from the very beginning, when the Christ is born as a human being and is released into His ministry. Thereafter it shows how He challenges the prevailing mindsets among the descendants of Abraham and how they have moved away from God's original plan for them. At the same time, He reveals what the Kingdom of God is and exposes the system that has been operating in the world since Adam and Eve fell into sin. However, more importantly, He clearly reveals, through His words and His life, the patterns and principles that man must adhere to in order to restore the kingdoms of the world back to God. Through the things Jesus said at the end of Part One, including the words of His parables, He showed us clearly what the Kingdom of God is like. The critical aspect of this story is that Jesus the Christ came to move man from simply being a natural being to becoming a spiritual being. It's a total shift from 'the natural' and being obsessed with accumulating the things of this world and indulging in the pleasures of this world, to 'the spiritual' and becoming someone who can live in this material world, and yet his entire desire and single focus is on His Creator and His will and purposes for mankind. God wants man to be restored to the pattern of the pre-fall Adam, who interacted with Him at the level of Spirit. So, Jesus revealed that God is Spirit, and that those who would interact with Him, would do so at the level of Spirit, not at the level of the natural. Jesus came to personally demonstrate how this can be achieved, and as the Lord of the Sabbath, He showed how He was at rest while His Father worked through Him. He raised a group of men patterned after Himself and this revelation of the Sabbath rest, saying that those who would follow His lifestyle and manner would establish His Kingdom here on earth. The rest of the story is revealed in the Gospel of the Kingdom - Part Two.
About the Author: Augustine Chanetsa is a qualified member of the international Society of Technicians in Insurance and has operated as a practitioner in the Insurance Industry of Zimbabwe for over thirty years. However, once he gave his life to Christ over twenty years ago, he began to get involved in Christian ministry. Over a period of ten years, he produced and presented Christian music and talk programmes for both radio and television for the National Broadcaster in Zimbabwe. While that season was drawing to an end, he served in the home cell/ home group system of the church for eight years, and after serving as District Pastor, he was sent to plant a church in one of the suburbs in the city of Harare in Zimbabwe, together with his wife Samantha. They continued in this role for a period of five years, at the end of which, they were recalled to the church headquarters where they headed the training department for for another five years. It was during this time that Augustine began to write books, as the department's work room was also the library for the church's Bible School. His passion had always been to find out and understand what causes man's mind to work the way it does, and find a biblical solution to those problems. With this in mind, he wrote seven books on the background to the story of the Bible from Genesis through to the beginning of the Acts of the Apostles. It was during the process of writing the seventh book, on the life of Jesus to the beginning of Acts, that he discovered the Gospel of the Kingdom, and then he wrote the bulk of the two books while on assignment in Sal, Cabo Verde. After nine months there, he returned to Zimbabwe at the beginning of 2017, to complete the process of publishing his books.
