About the Book

This political satire takes place within the confines of three nation-states that located in three worlds of different times that are 26 million years apart. The one thing they have in common is their relationship to the Main character Goraka. Goraka's people the Kinshasa also called Kin-sha-sha was awarded the task of finding new territory in foreign places to be conquered, tamed, and civilized. Little did the King-General of the Old Country-under the monarchy represented by Mathew III- know that Goraka the prodigal prodigy would create the conditions that would result in three worlds 26 million years apart interacting with each other. This dialogue is a political satire of how power corrupts. The desire is to allow an extremely complex process called leadership to play itself out within the arena of the state, on stage. Why a dialogue? This is a satire. It is more comfortable doing this satire in dialogue. It is thought best rendered in dialogue. How did the idea of writing dialogue come about? It came out naturally. The characters told me that they were ready for presentation. The characters wanted to speak for themselves. They did not want a storyteller who dominated conversation all of the time. What are the influences? The influences are the black community theatre; a black barber shop setting; the black community aesthetic of social commentary; the amphitheatre of Anthems with plays such as Oedipus Rex; Plato's Socrates; the Elizabethan theatre of Shakespeare; the Broadway playwright Lorain Hansberry; the black cinema.; the street corner and black college campus signifying sessions. The aesthetic linguistic rules of engagement are that of black dialogue.
About the Author: Biography Delridge L. Hunter has a Ph. D. in Africana Studies from the Union Institute and University in Cincinnati, Ohio, a Master of Community Mental Heath, Northern Illinois University and A. B. in Political Science W/ an Integrated Minor in Economics, Geography, History and Literature, Prairie View A&M University. He is Professor of Interdisciplinary Studies and Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Medgar Evers College, the City University of New York. His work centers on the paradigm he has developed over the past 31 years. It is called "Law of Position, a Position Theory." Since his undergraduate studies he has formally approached his studies as an integrative process. The process began in the ninth grade when his widowed mother brought all of the magazines from her workstation as a housekeeper at the Veteran Hospital in Temple Texas. She was employed to work in the "Nurses quarters" where when it was time to dispose of the dated magazines they were brought home rather than placed in the trash disposal. I must remain grateful for the vision. My most recent published works are: "Culture of Whiteness VS. Black Popular Culture (2008); Forbidden Desires Fulfilled & Sexual Secrets Acted Out(2010); and An African American Experience (Three Volumes) Forthcoming
