About the Book

This book is about the story-teller who meets and befriends some astonishingly beautiful people, beautiful at heart, when he went out in pursuit of a lost friend. And he discovered much more than he expected. He learnt more about the value of human existence - the purpose of life. Life is not a bed of roses. There is a lot of uphill and downhill during the journey of life. Those who meet the challenges boldly and have the patience and courage to sustain the vagaries of life come out with a success. This book is a saga of characters who faced the worst failures of life, extreme injustice of fate, victims of anti-social elements and targets of mob fury and suffered worst kind of miseries, yet they did not yield to these misfortunes and fought till their last breath to give a logical end to their life. This is a story of young woman, pampered daughter of a rich and powerful man, who fell in love with a young revolutionary and eloped to marry him in very abhorrent situation -their life as a romantic couple took off very well but cruel circumstances made their life miserable. They reached the ebb of their fate and the husband was forced to push his wife into world's oldest profession, prostitution. This is also a story of a brilliant boy, a nature lover, a sportsman who grew up to realize that life can be too harsh. A victim of circumstances, he became a gay subconsciously. His married life was shattered into pieces when his wife, the woman whom he loved the most betrayed him for her own selfish ambition and saw many u-turns in his life. The book also will take the reader to witness a sad episode of a brave young man who lost his family members including his girlfriend and became alcoholic. There is also a wise man, once an all-rounder lover-boy who was deprived of the love of his bosom friend and lost his pregnant beautiful wife at a tender age, the source of happiness and business success . As the story unfolds there are lots of twists and turns, romance and sex, outbursts of violence, struggle for survival, supreme sacrifices and success. The book vividly brings out a saga of spiritual journey and the firm belief and conviction that one can make his/her own destiny, come what may.The book is an endeavour to express the very essence of our existence - being happy and attain fulfillment. Attainment of a blissful life that comes from serving others, the fellow being and the society at large. Finally it is a book for those seeking the purpose of the precious life. And an interesting reading captivating the imagination of the reader, romanticism of life's journey and introspecting the meaning of life.
