Inhaltsangabe: Gang der Untersuchung: Im folgenden soll versucht werden, einer wissenschaftlichen Durchdringung des Themas näher zu kommen. Dabei bleibt jedoch die praktische Anwendbarkeit der Betrachtungsergebnisse ein zentrales Element, da es sich zum einen um ein sehr praxisorientiertes Thema handelt und zum anderen die Anwendungsorientierung eine der Grundlagen der Betriebswirtschaftslehre ist. Die Arbeit wird sich zunächst mit den begrifflichen Abgrenzungen der zu bearbeitenden Problematik beschäftigen, wobei die Schwerpunkte auf der näheren Erläuterung der Sparkassenorganisation und ihres besonderen Zielsystemes, der Beschreibung des Firmenkundengeschäftes und des going public liegen. Daran anschließend folgt eine Analyse der Ausgangssituation. Die Veränderung der rechtlichen und institutionellen Rahmenbedingungen, die Entwicklungen am Aktienmarkt und die Veränderung der Wettbewerbsposition der Sparkassen werden hier als Begründungen für die Institutionalisierung des Geschäftsfeldes going public untersucht. Es folgt eine Zusammenstellung der Vorteile und Chancen für die Errichtung des Geschäftsfeldes. Im Hauptteil wird das Geschäftsfeld going public für Sparkassen eingehend mit der Benennung von Zielgruppen, einer geschäftspolitischen Einordnung, der Aufgabenbeschreibung und möglichen Problemfeldern dargestellt. Eine besondere Rolle spielt hierbei die Entwicklung von Strategiealternativen. Anschließend werden mögliche Konsequenzen für die einzelne Sparkasse als auch für die gesamte Sparkassenorganisation aufgezeigt, und es wird mit einer zusammenfassenden Schlußbetrachtung abgeschlossen.
