Dennis John Kearney had always dreamed of being a daddy. Having grown up in a loving family with caring, giving parents, he wanted to raise children of his own who would have similar memories. He wanted to be the kind of father that his children would brag about to their friends. He wanted to build a bond like no other with each child, ensuring that at no time would he or she ever feel unloved or unwanted.
But at the age of twenty-seven, his dreams of fatherhood evaporated. With a diagnosis of Klinefelter syndrome came the news that he was sterile. Dennis was devastated.
God's Servant as a Daddy is the fourth book in a series. In it, Dennis shares his journey to fatherhood. Beginning with his own happy childhood, Dennis explains what Klinefelter syndrome is and how, through prayer, God revealed to him that someday he'd be taking care of other people's children.
Experience the wonders of "daddyhood" along with Dennis as he takes on a series of foster children and eventually adopts Cine, his precious gift from God. Their beautiful daddy-daughter relationship is a joy to behold!
About the Author: Dennis John Kearney has a diploma in Christian ministry from the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California. He lives in Elk Grove, California, with his wife, Terry. Together they share custody of his eight-year-old precious gift from God.
After the VA determined he was disabled from injuries incurred while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom, he was often asked what his occupation was. He felt led by God to tell everyone that he was God's servant. This is based on Paul's letter to the Colossians (Col. 1:19-22).
Now he spends his days volunteering at his daughter's school as co-president of the PTO, as a "Top Dog" for the father involvement educational initiative WATCH D.O.G.S., and in his daughter's third grade classroom.
Kearney has been to thirty-five countries with the US military and on yearly short-term medical mission trips to locations such as Uganda and Nicaragua. Through his God's Servant series, he recounts his travels and adventures in a life dedicated to serving God while serving others.
