Mariah's eyes widens enormously as Sergeant
Marshall comes bounding in angrily. He is irate, so
much that he is shaking, and the anger she realizes
is directed at her. As he comes quickly towards
them, his eyes bores into hers, furiously. Mariah
drops the file she's holding and steps quickly
behind her aunt, terrified. Spenser stops instantly,
still staring at her. Rose Dade looks from one to the
other, wondering what is going on.
"Can I help you, Sergeant Marshall? Is there a
problem?"
"Yes, there is a problem! He shouts, his voice
thundering as he points at Mariah. "You took my
children to church!" He states, livid. "What makes
you think you can go against my will and push my
children into that mess? Is there a problem with
reading instructions in this place? I specifically
stated on my application," he pauses angrily, "that I
am an Atheist and you," he stares at Mariah, "and you
took my children to church against my will!" his voice explodes again
