About the Book

Modern Goaltending Modern Game is the eagerly anticipated book by World Renowned Goaltending Coach Sean Moloney. Having Coached Goaltenders throughout the USA and Canada for almost 20 years, Coach Moloney's students are playing at all levels of Hockey throughout North America and Europe. Currently the Goaltending Coach at Washington & Jefferson College in PA and an instructor at World Pro Goaltending, the widely known elite Goaltending School form Calgary, Alberta. Modern Goaltending Modern Game is not just an in depth technical manual but is so much more. All the technical aspects of the position are of course covered, but the book goes far beyond that, providing on and off ice drills, covering the essential mental aspect of the position, offering advice for Head coaches on handling their Goaltenders properly, and even offering advice for the parent of the young Goaltender. In addition, MGMG offers EXCLUSIVE interviews with some of today's top young Goaltenders, and several of today's best Goaltending Coaches as well. The definitive guide to the position in 2013 and beyond, MGMG is written in a very conversational, enjoyable prose that will benefit and be an enjoyable read and be an invaluable companion for anyone who enjoys, plays, or coaches the game and the position.
About the Author: Having coached Goaltenders throughout the USA and Canada for over 15 years, Sean Moloney has established a reputation as one of the most respected, progressive, forward-thinking Goaltending minds in the game. Coach Moloney's students are playing at all levels of Junior, Collegiate, and Professional Hockey in North America and Europe. He is currently the Goaltending coach at Washington & Jefferson College in Pennsylvania, previously spending 6 seasons with Robert Morris University's ACHA Division I program during which time his Goaltenders were named league All-Stars 3 times and 1 earned the honour of ACHA All-American. During Coach Moloney's tenure at RMU the Colonials won 3 league regular season titles, 3 playoff championships, earned 3 berths in the national tournament, and finished ranked as high as #9. After working at many presigious goaltending schools, in 2005 he founded Building Blocks Goaltending, a summer Goaltending school which quickly gained a reputation as one of the game's most progressive camps. In 2012 he became a camp instructor for one of the most prestigious Goaltending schools in the world, World Pro Goaltending from Calgary Alberta.
