Gluten Free Desserts To Satisfy That Sweet Tooth
Do you need to eat a gluten free diet due to having Celiac Disease or being a Paleo Diet fan? Do you wish you could enjoy the desserts your friends and family do? Well you can with a few small tweaks.
Where there is a will there is a way as they say and "Gluten Free Desserts" is an example of that. Being a lover of desserts and one who wanted to watch her gluten intake Charity decided it was time to start testing. There were many failed attempts at making her favorite desserts gluten free (don't worry, they are not in the book) but she finally created 50 worth writing about.
Gluten Free Does Not Limit You
Granted learning to eat gluten free can be quite the chore. Learning how to read labels and watch for secret hidden gluten containing ingredients can make it feel like you need a degree in some type of science. Who makes words up like:
- Triticum vulgare (wheat)
- Triticale (cross between wheat and rye)
- Hordeum vulgare (barley)
- Secale cereale (rye)
Well don't worry about all that now. You can confidently make yourself some delicious gluten free dessert tonight. Take a label reading sabbatical for the night. Invite friends over to help you eat the Double Chocolate Mocha Cookies you will be making.
Go ahead and knock their gluten eating socks off with your gluten free master pieces. There is a misconception that gluten free eating has to be bland and you are about to crush that myth. Your friends will never know what hit them and their stomachs will thank you for it.
You Control The Gluten Now
The great thing about making your own desserts vs. buying from the store is that you know exactly what went into them. You do not have to guess at whether or not that bite of brownie is going to end in a night full of unwanted trips to the bathroom. You are in full control when you are the one in the kitchen. Actually make your husband do it but you get my point.
You do not have to give up on the sweeter things in life when you have recipe books like "Gluten Free Desserts" in your digital cupboard. Head out to the grocery store, grab your gluten free ingredients and get baking.
