About the Book
In this 20+ century, mankind finds itself in a society rigorously structured, and ruthlessly enslaved by a handful of Choosers and an elite of Chosen. The overwhelming majority is trapped into a diabolic seven days per week work regimen at The Factories of different Areas, where they all believe they are working as Subjects for new software testing. Management provides what's necessary for a comfortable life: simple housing, cheap entertainment, and even cheaper, unhealthy food. Fifty-six yearly vaccines and numerous miraculous pills are heavily promoted. Independent thinking is vigorously oppressed and any kind of dreaming is considered against the law. Yet people are all blissfully happy with their daily meals and weekly games, and they don't even notice how drained of energy they literally are. When Cor is accidentally late for his meal, he experiences awakening. He realizes with Ela's help that he is not alone, and all the numbing and dumbing chemicals that blind them into a total, "happy" obedience and dreamless nights, are in their food. He sees with horror how they are all used as livestock providers of human energy - scientifically proven to be the purest form of energy. Even more shocking, he finds out that apparently without a reason he committed, to everybody's disbelief, self-"dumbification". Before that, he was a well-known scientist, developing a method that would exponentially increase the energy extracted from humans, at great damaging consequences for them... However the person who would own his method will immediately become the most powerful human in the known Universe. Cor also realizes that using - with a little twist - the same method in the Oneiric Dimension - realm available in a paradoxical way for the awakened ones only, he can amplify ad-infinitum a forgotten, beautiful energy. Then, directing its colossal power towards the diabolic System, he could "corrupt" the civilization to its core, awakening the entire mankind from the dreamless sleep. Which path will he choose? Will he sacrifice his newly acquired social power, his steamy relationship with the beautiful and seductive Dalila, for an ungrateful self-exile beyond the Grey Line, into the uncivilized, rather unkept world? The author moves through the dream world with unbelievable ease! He changes from the astral plan, to the real plan, describes memories from one life, or several lives back in vivid colors and shapes. As if you are watching a great movie, that wouldn't let you blink.
About the Author: M. Lucian Caprau grew up under the Iron Curtain, during the peak of the totalitarian regime in Romania. Both his parents were intellectuals - a frowned upon status by the political authorities during those times. The ruling communist party's favorite chant, was: "We are working, not thinking." His love for books was deeply embedded in his soul at a very early age. He learned from his mother that if he will ever have to choose between eating abundantly but not reading, or starving but having access to books, he should always choose the second. As a child in a caged society, he finds absolute liberty in reading, and in an abundant imagination, in which he escapes often. He matures in a powerful circle of 7 friends, which will always remain his trusted anchors. The friendships forged then, during the gray times, when thinking was an act of rebellion, will never be forgotten or replaced by anything. After the bloody revolution of December 1989 the communism fell, and a virgin society opened up for the wild capitalism, while new values and systems chaotically conquered the market. Being an intellectual meant nothing without financial strength. Keeping up with the "new world", Lucian continued his post graduate studies in business and international relations and engaged in several enterprises. He was successful, and by the time he was 32 he was financially independent. All at the expense of his unwritten books which were constantly giving him insomnia. Realizing full of disgust that the new leaders of the young "Balkan democracy" were the old dictatorial elite wearing merely a new mask, he decides to immigrate to America. At the turn of the Millennium he gave up to everything, and crossed the Atlantic. He achieved success again (described in "American Zebras, American Tigers"), only this time he did not neglect his passion for writing books! Lucian's mission is to bring more light into the world. As he proudly says: "The purpose of my life is to passionately love and create, as I impact people's lives and fill them with energy, health and abundance." M Lucian Caprau is a true Renaissance thinker. He still believes that absolute love, beauty and awareness are our natural state of being. A sought after trainer, international key note speaker, success creator, and best-selling author, he has his center in Southern California, but travels everywhere on Earth, which he affectionately calls: "my home for now..."
