Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Philosophie der Antike, Note: 1,0, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Institut für Philosophie), Veranstaltung: Platons Menon, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit beschäftige ich mich mit der Frage, wie die Konklusion des Dialogs mit der in seiner Mitte eingeführten Lehre von der Wiedererinnerung vereinbar ist. Nach meiner Auffassung tut sich zwischen den beiden im Dialog vertretenen Positionen ein Widerspruch auf den zu Lösen einen großen Beitrag zum Verständnis der platonischen Erkenntnistheorie liefern könnte. In dieser Arbeit soll nun aber zu allererst das Problem klar herausgearbeitet werden. Mein Ziel in dieser Arbeit ist es zu zeigen, dass es zwischen den im Menon vertretenen Überzeugungen eine erhebliche Spannung, wenn nicht einen logischen Widerspruch gibt. Platons Menon ist ein spannender Dialog an der Schnittstelle zwischen zwei Kernthemen der platonischen Philosophie wie auch der Philosophie überhaupt: Wissen und Tugend. Menon fragt zu Beginn nach dem Ursprung der Tugend. Was folgt ist dann ein Dialog über Fragen nach Wissen allgemein und nach Erkenntnis. Wie ist das Verhältnis von Wissen und Lernen? Und was bedeutet das für die Frage, was wir überhaupt lernen können. Im Verlauf dieses Dialogs stellt Menon die Frage, ob Lernen überhaupt möglich sei. Vorausgegangen ist dieser Frage die Vorstellung sokratischer Erkenntnistheorie. Und so entwickelt sich der Dialog zu einer Untersuchung des Problems, ob Lernen überhaupt möglich ist und wenn ja, wie es von Statten gehen kann. Sokrates Antwort auf das von Menon aufgeworfene Problem ist die Lehre von der Wiedererinnerung. In aller Kürze zusammengefasst besagt diese Lehre, dass unsere Seele alles Wissen bereits enthält und dass jedes Lernen bloß ein Wiedererinnern, ein Zugreifen auf das in der Seele bereits enthaltene Wissen ist.
