The warmth of the air rush into the open window of my bedroom. My eyes were still sleepy as I put one foot on to the floor and the other foot partly in bed. I was about to put the other foot on the floor to line up with the other foot. When I heard my Mama called my name from the kitchen "Allie are you up gal"" no Mama""well then you better get up' with your lazy self all you want to do is watch that stupid box all night long"."And I bet you ca, not even say your prayers right". She would, not bite her tongue for nobody she was just that way when she said "jump" you ask "how high", we love our Mama she is the salt of the earth and the backbone of this family.She wanted her girls to be stronger in life journey, I thank her but sometimes she treats me like a little girl, like my younger sister Sadie that another space in the moon sometimes I swear that girl is so spaced out most of the times. I cause a loud noise that made the glass bowl fall from the top of the dresser finally my space out minded little sister came out of the bathroom saying "oooh I going to tell Mama you broke her beautiful glass bowl, Papa gave her from Germany. I had to remind my sister Sadie, of the time I saw her the boy next door. Kissing on the front porch in the evening with his hand down her blouse. I scared that girl so badly she finished in the bathroom so quickly I thought I saw a trail of smoke behind her. Mama would believe that girl over me any time. If daddy was still around, he would totally be there for me. I finally built up my nerve to go downstairs to tell Mama about the broken glass bowl. The smell of the coffee made me lose the words to say to her without getting chased out of the kitchen. There were a lot of things going on in that kitchen such as the boiling hot pot of coffee, grits, and bacon frying on the stove. I didn't know what might happen.
