Poison Pens Can be DeadlyAnnie Malone. Wanna-be ghostwriter and sleuth. Friend and confidante. And little firecracker who loves working at The Lighthouse Inn despite it being a magnet for mayhem.
Annie, Lizzy (her bestie), and the crew are back. On a snowy Sunday night, Annie's biggest concern centers on a mysterious woman she sees canoodling with Donovan, Annie's prospective beau. Things quickly escalate as poison pen letters trouble the community. With tempers flaring and the reputation of The Lighthouse Inn hanging in the balance, it is up to Annie and Lizzy--along with a furry new friend--to find the culprit. Helped along the way with old and new friends, Annie and Lizzy (aka Lucy and Ethel) search for the truth. When Annie makes a startling discovery, she finds that the cost of this truth may be too high.

The Reviews are in!"So, this book is called a "Cozy Mystery" and that's a perfect description! Reading this book, I felt like I was visiting with a friend and she was telling me a fun story about something that happened to her! A little bizarre at times, but still a very fun story to let myself get lost in. A quick read-25 chapters-and just a great-grab-a-coffee-and-put-your-feet-up-to-read kind of story. I truly enjoyed letting myself get lost in this fun adventure!"-Janell at Green Gables Book Reviews (www.gablesbookreviews.com)
"...this fun, light cozy mystery will keep you guessing until the very end while experiencing the picturesque and sometimes spooky sights of Door County, Wisconsin."-Award-winning Romance Author Rebekah N. Bryan, Brit With the Pink Hair
I would say that cozy mysteries may not be my genre, but they just may be now after reading The Ghostwriter and the Gems. Right away you get the sense that you "know" the characters because you can relate to them - the opening scene of Chapter 1 shows Annie Malone at a boring meeting, and having covered many a boring school board or city council meeting, I know all about toothpicks and tape. That said, the descriptions are what "make" this story; of course, I grew up in Wisconsin, and the descriptions are spot on, especially those of Door County, one of my favorite places to be."-Author Gregg Voss, The Valley of American Shadow
