About the Book

This story takes place in between 1997 and 1998. It is a fantasy about a young girl; not yet of age, (Karen) who moves from Sheboygan, Wisconsin to Louisville Kentucky and gets a job as a topless dancer to try to be able to afford to stay here. She soon gets solicited by two Louisville Metro detectives (Detective Charon; aka Charlie and Detective Thomas) to help find a missing dancer. She then, starts developing psychic abilities and starts having visions. These visions lead her from finding a body, to finding a murderer. Then she connects the case with a six year old case where a seventeen year old girl was murdered. This girl ended up being her upstairs neighbor's sister. She gets involved with Charlie's son J R. Problems start when J R becomes too jealous of Karen and feels threatened by her job.It becomes an emotional roller coaster after Karen meets Attorney Buck Smith and he finds out his wife had been cheating on him. Now, her special psychic powers start focusing on Buck and his family as she sees his daughter's attempted suicide.Karen is stalked by the murder as the police try to protect her.She finds herself pregnant, believing the baby to be J R's.Buck, doesn't care who's the father. He loves Karen; and after she helped save his daughter's life: he is determined to marry her.Karen is given a special assignment by Charlie before she leaves with Buck to go back to Sheboygan to be married in front of her parents. Charlie wants her to help try to find a missing seven year old girl, whose mother had been found dead of a drug overdose. The girl is believed to be in an RV on her way to Chicago with a man who is supposed to be her father's brother.Karen ends up abducting the girl from the abductor, taking her on to Sheboygan.Buck then seeks help from a Chicago Attorney, Daniel Kruger. They went to law school together some twenty tears prior. An old friendship is rekindled as Daniel helps Buck and Karen adopt the little girl. Charlie and his wife Christine desperately want to be part of the unborn baby's life, while everyone believes it to be J R's baby. Later, Karen and Buck are told the baby may be in fact Buck's. But now, J R's new wife is begging them not to tell Christine and Charlie, because they don't want them to know J R may be sterile. And besides, they all have fallen in love with this unborn child.Buck doesn't want J R playing 'Daddy' to his baby, not unless he really is the father. To keep Sheila (J R's wife) happy, he donates sperm to help get them pregnant so they will leave him and Karen alone. But, it doesn't work that way. It only strengthens the bond between the couples. After the baby is born and they go back to Sheboygan to visit with her parents and allow them to see their new granddaughter, Charlotte, aka Charlie (to name her after J R's dead sister). Before they get there, they stop in Chicago to spend a couple days with Daniel and his family.Karen ends up making the news by taking down a would be purse snatcher. Normally, that wouldn't be news worthy. In this case, the purse snatchers happens to be a runaway from Grand Rapids Michigan.Karen is upset when she finds out her father had had a heart attack and nobody told her. She doesn't understand how she can see so well other people's problems, but when it comes to her own family, she is blind. But, before this story can end, she has to do one more thing......She has to save Daniel's life.
