Inhaltsangabe: Einleitung: Innovationen haben einen wichtigen Stellenwert im Wirtschaftsleben. Nicht selten entscheiden sie über langfristigen Erfolg oder Misserfolg. Ein Unternehmen, das heute am Markt führend ist, kann durch ein falsches Innovationsmanagement diesen Spitzenplatz leicht verspielen. Aus diesem Grund ist es wichtig die Innovationsfähigkeit zu fördern, sodass aus dem Unternehmen Innovationen hervorgehen, die sich am Markt durchsetzen können. Wie oben schon gezeigt wurde, kann der Unternehmer diese Aufgabe häufig nicht mehr adäquat wahrnehmen und wird sie somit auf die Mitarbeiter des Unternehmens übertragen. Wie aber kann man den Mitarbeiter ermutigen, sich Gedanken über Innovationen zu machen, wenn dies nicht seiner ursprünglich zugedachten Aufgabe entspricht? Da dies nicht durch Zwangsmaßnahmen erreicht werden kann, müssen die Mitarbeiter entsprechend motiviert werden. Dies kann ein Anreizsystem leisten, indem Motive angesprochen werden, die ein bestimmtes Verhalten bedingen. Ursächlich dafür ist eine Änderung der Präferenzabfolge, die durch Anreize ausgelöst wird. Ein Anreizsystem ist allerdings nur in der Lage die Innovationsfähigkeit zu fördern. Es hat jedoch nicht zwingend eine Auswirkung auf die tatsächliche Innovationstätigkeit eines Unternehmens. Dies hängt letztendlich von den Mitarbeitern ab, was auch der Begriff des Humankapitals zum Ausdruck bringt. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist, ein betriebliches Anreizsystem so zu gestalten, dass es die Innovationsfähigkeit eines Unternehmens fördert. Im speziellen soll dies für den Fall der X AG durchgeführt werden. Es ist hinlänglich bekannt, dass durch ein Anreizsystem versucht wird, die von der Organisation vorgegebenen Ziele mit denen des Individuums in Einklang zu bringen. Dies geschieht i. d. R. durch eine Änderung der Motive und damit des Verhaltens bei den Mitarbeitern.
