Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2020 im Fachbereich BWL - Handel und Distribution, Note: 1,7, Fachhochschule Münster, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In dieser Arbeit geht es um die Beantwortung der Frage, wie es Unternehmen erreichen können, bei steigender Bedeutung des Online-Handels, einhergehend mit erhöhtem Bestellaufkommen, gleichzeitig das Entstehen von Retouren zu vermeiden. Zu diesem Zweck sollen Unternehmen Vorschläge unterbreitet werden, die es ihnen ermöglichen können, bestmöglich auf das gegenwärtig hohe Retourenaufkommen zu reagieren, um ihr Retourenmanagement nachhaltig ausrichten zu können. Es soll zunächst einmal auf die Wichtigkeit der Senkung der Retourenquote durch die Betrachtung der Auswirkungen auf die Dimensionen der Nachhaltigkeit hingewiesen werden. Anschließend sollen verschiedene präventive Maßnahmen aufgezeigt werden, welche dazu beitragen, das zuvor beschriebene Ziel der langfristigen Minimierung der Retourenzahl bestmöglich zu erreichen. Um passende Maßnahmen unterbreiten zu können, sollen zuvor die Gründe und Ursachen für das Entstehen von Retouren auf Konsumentenseite dargelegt werden. Ein weiteres Ziel dieser Arbeit liegt außerdem darin, die Schwierigkeiten, denen die Unternehmen im Prozess zur Gestaltung eines nachhaltigen Retourenmanagements gegenüberstehen, aufzuzeigen. Es gilt zu erreichen, dass Unternehmen, die im Hauptteil dieser Arbeit aufgezeigten Maßnahmen mit geringen Hürden in ihr Retourenmanagement integrieren können. Auch wenn Konsumenten heutzutage in den meisten Lebenslagen verstärkt auf ihre Umwelt achten und versuchen nachhaltig zu handeln, steigt die Retourenzahl stetig. Sie verzichten der Umwelt zuliebe auf Fleisch und fahren öfter Bus, obwohl Auto fahren um einiges bequemer ist. Trotzdem schicken sie massenhaft Ware aus dem Netz zurück. Der Trend der Nachhaltigkeit scheint in diesem Bereich noch nicht angekommen zu sein, obwohl eine Umstellung auf ein nachhaltiges Verhalten heutzutage nicht mehr sonderlich schwer ist
