Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2008 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Sonstiges, Note: 2,0, Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit greifen wir das Thema "Geselligkeit von Salons und weibliche Freiheitsbestrebungen im Signum der Romantik (Berliner Salons)" auf. Dafür geben wir zunächst eine kurze Einführung in die Geschehnisse der Epoche der Romantik, welche sich in die Zeit zwischen 1798 und 1835 einreihen lässt. Hier gehen wir speziell auf die charakteristischen Motive der damaligen Zeit ein, die sich später in den nachfolgenden Biografien der beiden populären Saloniéren, Henriette Herz und Rahel Varnhagen von Ense, wieder finden lassen. Anschließend werden die Begriffe der Geselligkeit und des Salons im Allgemeinen näher erläutert. Gleichzeitig werden die Salons in die Epoche der Romantik eingebunden. Im weiteren Verlauf wird die historische Entwicklung der Salonkultur, sowie die Entstehung der Berliner Salons darlegt. Von besonderer Bedeutung für die Salonkultur sind auch die Klientel und die Diskussionsthemen, die typisch für die Epoche der Romantik waren. Das Ende der ruhmreichen Salonkultur läuteten schließlich die napoleonischen Kriege ein, auf die im Verlauf der Hausarbeit näher eingegangen wird. Bei unseren Vorüberlegungen sind wir zu dem Entschluss gekommen, dass wir die Biografie der Henriette Herz aufzeigen werden, da sie in der deutschen Salonkultur die erste Initiatorin eines solchen Salons war. Sie profitierte vom Reichtum und der gesellschaftlichen Stellung ihres Mannes, was typisch war für die Berliner Salons dieser Zeit. Doch was allerdings die emanzipierte Freiheitsbestrebung bei ihr ausmachte, wird im Anschluss durch das Kapitel 'die Bedeutung der Henriette Herz für die damalige Zeit' geklärt. Eine andere bedeutende Saloniére ist Rahel Varnhagen von Ense, die wohl den bedeutendsten Salon in Berlin führte. Sie war die erste Frau, die es schaffte aus eigener Kraft einen ruhmreichen Salon aufzubauen. Zum Schluss
