(William Feather ) Dieses Zitat des amerikanischen Werbefachmanns William Feather macht die Einstellung der Menschen gegenüber der Werbung deutlich: Die Werbung zeigt uns das, was wir sehen wollen beziehungsweise das, was wir gerne wären. Um dies zu erreichen, werden viele verschiedene Medien verwendet; seien es stilistische Mittel, wie Ironie oder Sarkasmus, musikalische Untermalungen, bekannte Gesichter aus Film und Fernsehen oder simples Klischeedenken der Bürgerinnen und Bürger. In der heutigen Zeit kommt man nicht mehr an der Werbung vorbei, denn sie ist überall und jeder wird mit ihr konfrontiert. Sei es in Zeitungen und Zeitschriften, im Radio, Kino, Internet oder Fernsehen. Die Werbeindustrie bedient sich an den geschaffenen Klischees und Stereotypen, die sie teilweise auch in ihren Slogans definieren. So heißt es zum Beispiel: "Für das Beste im Mann" (Gillette), "Bauknecht weiß, was Frauen wünschen" (Bauknecht), "Der Duft, der Frauen provoziert" (Axe) oder "Weil Männer keine Frauen sind" (DMAX). Doch welchen Einfluss haben diese geschaffenen Stereotype auf den realistischen Wandel der Geschlechterkonstruktionen? Um genau dieses Thema handelt es sich in meiner Examensarbeit: "Der Wandel der Geschlechterkonstruktionen: Das Beispiel der Fernsehwerbung" Innerhalb dieser Arbeit möchte ich mehreren Fragen nachgehen, die eng mit dieser Thematisierung verbunden sind: o Welche Klischees und Stereotypen wurden seit den 50er Jahren in der deutschen TV-Werbung bedient? o Wie wurde das Geschlecht mit Hilfe dieses Medium konstruiert? o Was versteht man unter einer Geschlechterrolle bzw. einer Geschlechterkonstruktion? o In welchem Verhältnis stehen dies
