This book is a collection of unique topics and presents a good picture of the gender issues in the present day Pakistan. Editors gratefully acknowledge the support rendered by the respective authors for their valuable contributions. About the Author Sarfraz Khan is presently working as a Lecturer in the Department of Sociology, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. He is doing his Ph.D in Anthropology from the same University. His main areas of interests include Gender Issues, Migration, and Religion. He has published many research articles nationally and internationally on his areas of interests. Yasir Saeed is the Lecturer at Department of Sociology, University of Gujrat. He earned his M. Phil. degree in Sociology and BS (Hons) in Social Sciences from University of the Punjab, Pakistan. His areas of interest are Research Methodology, RH & FP, Population Aging, Gender Studies, and Developmental Issues. He has published his work in national and international research journals. Hafeez-ur-Rehman is Tenured Track Professor of Cultural Anthropology at the Department of Anthropology, Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad, Pakistan. Since 2003, he is also the Chairman of Department of Anthropology. He has published more than 56 research articles in scholarly journals and several book reviews. His work on Saints and Shrines in Pakistan from anthropological perspective makes him distinguished from other contemporary scholars of this discipline. He has also participated in a number of conferences organised at the national and international level, and shared his findings. Besides teaching, he is also involved in applied anthropology, and has conducted several research studies (63 research projects) with various international organisations. His area of specialisation in applied anthropology is Education, Health, Migration, Rural Development, Ethnographic Studies, Women and Child Trafficking, etc. He has worked as Link coordinator in two major projects, i.e., with the University of Sussex, UK under the Higher Education Link Program, a project sponsored by British Council Islamabad and Higher Education Commission, Government of Pakistan (2007-2010) and International Strategic Partnership in Research and Education (INSPIRE) 2011-2014.
