Was heisst es, wenn ein Regisseur Genauigkeit fordert? Und was, wenn die Malerin danach strebt? Was braucht es, um die Musik leicht werden zu lassen, und wodurch wird es die Mathematik? Warum handelt der Herzchirurg konsequent, und was wird aus der Konsequenz in der Konservierung? Vom Theater in die Molekularbiologie, von dort in die Wissenschaftstheorie, weiter in die Kunst und dann in die Konservierung usf.: In den Jahren 2005 bis 2007 gelang dem Berner Institut fur Transdisziplinaritat Y dreimal die disziplinenubergreifende Kettenreaktion. Dabei wendete man einen Trick an: Statt die Beteiligten zu einem gemeinsamen Forschungsthema wie 'Hirn', 'Feuer' oder 'Zukunft' einzuladen, stellte man die wechselnde Runde unter je ein Adjektiv, das die Qualitat der eigenen Arbeit charakterisieren sollte. Das Vorgehen selbst und nicht ein Untersuchungsgegenstand wurde thematisiert, nicht ein Objekt stand im Zentrum, sondern die Arten der Anschauung wurden verglichen. Das dreigeschichtete Buch 'genau - leicht - konsequent' versammelt ein breit gespanntes Panorama an Texten, die viel uber jene drei Qualitaten und deren Vielgestaltigkeit erzahlen und die den alltaglichen Gebrauch von 'genau', 'leicht' oder 'konsequent' differenzieren; Texte, die aber ebenso viel uber die jeweiligen disziplinaren Arbeitsformen und Weltsichten verraten. Ein Lesebuch also, in dem sich die unterschiedlichen Formen des Denkens in den Kunsten und Wissenschaften in je konkreten Problemfeldern vorstellen und in dem das Spektrum disziplinarer Couleurs zu einem erstaunlich vielstimmigen Zusammenklang orchestriert wird.
