Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2015 im Fachbereich Informatik - Games Engineering, Note: 1,0, Fachhochschule Kiel, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Arbeit bearbeitet das Problemfeld der Wechselwirkungen von Perspektive, Nutzungsmotivation und Rezeptionsmodalität. Game-Designer legen sehr früh im Produktionsprozess eines Spieletitels die eingesetzte Perspektive fest. Maßgebende Entscheidungsfaktoren sind dabei u.a. das Spielprinzip, Ästhetik, aber auch die beabsichtigte Zielgruppe. Eine Fehlentscheidung könnte schwerwiegende wirtschaftliche Folgen haben. Diese Arbeit wird sich in Kapitel 2 den spezifischen Vor- und Nachteilen der am weitesten verbreiteten Perspektiven widmen und aufzeigen, welche theoretischen Überlegungen beim Game-Design eine Rolle spielen. Wie das Medium Computerspiel wahrgenommen wird, liegt jedoch nicht allein in den Händen der Entwickler. Auch der Spieler selbst bildet einen maßgeblichen Faktor, wie eine Perspektive wahrgenommen wird. Die Nutzung von Medien gestaltet sich aber deutlich komplexer als, dass sie auf die beiden Aspekte Perspektivwahl und Nutzungsmotivation heruntergebrochen werden können. Daher wird mit Kapitel 4 ein drittes Element eingeführt: Rezeptionsmodalitäten. Aus Sicht von Suckfüll "besteht eine wechselseitige Beziehung" zur Motivation. Kurz zusammengefasst handelt es sich dabei um Strategien, die im Laufe des Lebens automatisch entwickelt werden, um Medien zu verarbeiten. Außerdem handelt es sich um ein Konstrukt, das nicht ausschließlich medien- oder rezipientenorientiert ist, sondern beide Seiten gleichermaßen integriert. Somit scheinen Rezeptionsmodalitäten sehr gut für eine Bearbeitung der zentralen Forschungsfrage geeignet: Existiert ein Zusammenhang zwischen Perspektivwahl, Nutzungsmotivation und Rezeptionsmodalität bei der Rezeption von Computerspielen? Um diese Frage beantworten zu können, wurde eine empirische Untersuchung vorgenommen, die in Kapitel 5 beschrieben wird. Parallel zur Bearbeitung dieser Frage werden
