Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2007 im Fachbereich Pädagogik - Heilpädagogik, Sonderpädagogik, Note: 1,7, Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg (Institut für Pädagogik), Veranstaltung: Integrations-und Sonderpädagogik, 11 Quellen im Literaturverzeichnis, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der vorliegenden Hausarbeit geht es um das Thema "Förderschwerpunkt Autismus", wobei zuerst geklärt wird, was Autismus ist und in welchen Formen er auftreten kann. Dabei ist es interessant auf mögliche Ursachen für autistische Syndrome und ihre Folgen für die Betroffenen näher einzugehen. Abschließend werde ich auf Ziele und Aufgaben der Förderung von autistischen Kindern und Jugendlichen eingehen. Etymologisch bedeutet Autismus "Ich-Bezogenheit, Zurückgezogenheit auf sich selbst." BEULER zog diesen Begriff 1911 in seiner Schizophreniemonographie zur Bezeichnung einer besonderen Form des Verhältnisses zur Wirklichkeit heran. In der Psychopathologie des Kindes- und Jugendalters wird dieser Begriff dann erstmals von KANNER 1943 verwendet. Unabhängig von ihm nutzte ASPERGER den Terminus, um eine schwere Beziehungsstörung zur personalen und dinglichen Umwelt zu kennzeichnen. Heute gilt Autismus als eine tiefgreifende Entwicklungsstörung, die von Ärzten, Forschern, Angehörigen, und Autisten selbst als eine angeborene, unheilbare Wahrnehmungs- und Informationsverarbeitungsstörung des Gehirnes beschrieben wird, die sich bereits im frühen Kindesalter bemerkbar macht. Andere Forscher und Autisten beschreiben Autismus als angeborene unterschiedliche Informationsverarbeitung, die sich durch Schwächen in sozialer Interaktion, Kommunikation und stereotypen Verhaltensweisen und in Stärken in Wahrnehmung, Aufmerksamkeit, Gedächtnis und Intelligenz zeigt. Wenngleich sich auf dem Gebiet des Autismus in den letzten Jahren sehr vieles zum Positiven entwickelt hat, ist die Ursachenforschung noch längst nicht zum Abschluss gekommen.
