About the Book

There are so many important things to teach our children! Important words, topics and characteristics.
The series, BIG Words With BIG Meaning, helps parents and adults with this by telling captivating stories with a powerful message and important lesson for children.
Each of these stories are based on at least two big words, which are conveyed through the story and defined at the end of the book.
These books are beautifully illustrated and written in rhyme. At the end of each book, there will be discussion topics and resources for readers to take learning and making a difference to the next level.
The Fruit Galoot: A Story of Compassion and Resolution is the first book of the Series BIG Words With BIG Meaning.
Why is all the fruit missing from Ames and Allie's garden?
Who could be so hungry that they had to take it all?
Follow Ames and Allie on their journey
as they make new friends and learn what it means
to have compassion and to find a resolution.
Check the end of the book for important topics and discussion points!
Stay tuned for more books with BIG Words from the series.

About the Author: Deb Mills is a lover of Yoga, Travel, Music, Food and Nutrition. She was born and raised in Colorado, with roots in the Midwest and currently resides in Encinitas, CA with her two beautiful children and loving husband. She enjoys living an active, healthy, mindful lifestyle that includes a lot of spontaneity and discovery. She has an entrepreneurial spirit and her passion is to reach our youngest generation through the mindful children's books she writes and to teach them about important topics in a way they can understand, relate to and process. She believes books are one of the best ways to reach a child, to teach them, to inspire them and to keep their minds creative and innocent. In our present time of technology and devices, she still believes there is a strong need for the traditional book for our children. One that they can hold, feel, turn the pages, pick up, lose and find again. The topics she writes about are all inspired by moments she has experienced or witnessed as a parent and written from the heart with the intention of raising our children up to be the best they can be!Becky Fawson is inspired by acts of kindness and stories of survivors. She loves nature, especially big trees and birds. Currently living in Southern Utah, surrounded by dessert landscaping, she has planted lots of baby trees and loves to watch them grow. While raising her five children, Becky worked as a freelance graphic designer. Now that they have left the nest, she spends her time illustrating picture books. She and her cowboy, saddle-maker husband enjoy working together on home and garden projects and spending time with their kids and growing number of grandkids.
