About the Book

In 2003 Yossi Beilin, a member of the Knesset (Israeli Parliament), together with a number of Jews and Arabs proposed what they termed "Geneva Accord - Model for a Permanent Israel-Palestinian Agreement," namely the setting up of both a Palestinian and a Jewish state in the area west of the Jordan river, the borders of the Jewish state approximating to the demarcation lines before the Six Day War of 1967. This "Accord" included the transfer of about 100,000 Jews from the Palestinian State to the Jewish State, but not even one Arab from the Jewish State to the Palestinian State. Beilin and co-authors conveniently forgot to include in their proposal the remaining 77 percent of Mandatory Palestine, namely the area today known as the country of Jordan. It should be noted that the country of Jordan was illegally created by Britain and until this day is of questionable legality.

After studying Beilin's "Accord," I wrote a paper entitled "Geneva Accord Alternative Version - Model for a Permanent Israel-Arab Agreement." In this accord the Jews were allotted the area they held prior to the Six Day War, plus the area of Judea and Samaria (popularly known as the "West Bank") and the Gaza strip. The area east of the River Jordan today known as Jordan would become the Arab state, thus giving it an area three times the size of the Jewish State. Arabs not recognising the entire area of the proposed Jewish state would have to move to the Arab state, and likewise similarly with Jews not recognising the Arab state.

This article of mine is one of the many papers in my book "From Keyboard to Computer." The title of my book is a modernised form of the expression "From Pen to Paper" where the Keyboard is today's Pen and Computer the Paper. This book is a selection of my writings over the past half century. Included is a number of polemic articles. Amongst them is one where Yasser Arafat receives Israeli citizenship, becomes a member of Knesset, and then defence minister of the State of Israel - according to Israeli law this cannot be excluded as a possibility! Another paper describes the traumatic situation that could occur if Israel gave the "Palestinian" Arabs autonomy over areas on the "West Bank," an idea which the Israeli government has since implemented. Yet another paper describes the true situation where for over 20 years the electricity supplied to the Israeli Military Headquarters at Bet-El was supplied and controlled by the Palestinian Liberation Organization, who could at will have cut off the electricity supply - a crucial element in the defence of a country. In this book there is a section containing numerous letters which I sent over the years to various newspapers in Israel, the United States and Britain. Almost all these letters deal with the political situation in Israel. and some were published by the respective newspapers. The longest section of the book comprises nine scholarly articles, most of them interdisciplinary. One of these papers analyses the legality of Jewish settlement beyond the Six Day War lines. Another paper is a study according to Jewish law of the murders in Agatha Christie's book "And Then There Were None." Another is a discussion of anti-Semitism in Richmal Crompton's "William Books," and yet another involves an unusual case of conversion and adoption, in which Jewish and English law on these subjects are compared. As regards all these scholarly articles, readers may request photocopies of the source material, sent without charge, from my e-mail: chaimsimons@gmail.com to their e-mails.
