What does the path through this book look like?
It is Lynnea's search for the depth of the Horse/Human relationship through pondering, poetry, and study of the multifaceted interactions that bring such wonderful satisfaction to the mind, body, and soul. She explores practical and spiritual aspects of this amazing interspecies entanglement. It is her point of view that Horse is a bridge between matter and spirit if we are open to that journey.
It is Lynnea's intention to share what that paradigm means to her.
What early readers have to say about From the Heart of a Horsewoman:
"For those of us born with a passion toward Horse, and I am fortunate to be among them, the ephemeral quality of our Horse longings, our Horse relationships, bring questions alongside difficult-to-translate answers. Why? What inner yearning calls me? What draws my Heart to Horses? Lynnea Paxton-Honn dances through the dimensions of these yearnings with metaphor, lore, poetic prose, and fifty-horse-years of hands-on insights. Delight yourself in this 'chocolate' of horse memoirs, one sweet bite, one sweet paragraph, at a time." Dawn Jenkins, Lady Farrier Frazier Park, California
"I can't wait for From the Heart of a Horsewoman to be out in print so I can share it with friends of mine." Rachelle Black, naturally born horsewoman, owner of Black Bean Soap Works, Ione, CA
"Beautiful! Lynnea shows me meditation in action. With tears in my eyes, she reminds me why I am alive. Her poetry can be read again and again. With gratitude, I thank her for her heart and words. (I clean Cinnamon's stall with a deeper sense of being in the world!)" Dr. Don DeGroot, PhD Psychologist Lakewood, Colorado
"I really enjoyed Lynnea's thoughtful and insightful writing. Beautifully done. Spirit - 'Horse is as close as my breath, ' resonates with my teaching. In this book, Lynnea explains why we are all so crazy about horses! Her words are very thought provoking as she explores the spirituality of our connection with our equine family members. Even her poetry is my kind of poetry, beautiful and simple to understand!" Chemaine Hurtado, owner and horse trainer at Symphony Dressage, Winner of Gold Medal bar in Grand Prix Musical Freestyle on her mare Nova. Bear Valley Springs, CA
