Wie läßt sich die Psychoanalyse tradieren, d. h. übersetzen, will sagen: deuten? Um diese Frage kreisen die einzelnen Skizzen dieses Essays, kommen aus verschiedenen Richtungen immer wieder auf sie zurück und suchen dabei nicht zuletzt jene Orte der Unterwelt der Psychoanalyse (Freud) auf, die ihr selbst fremd und unheimlich geworden sind, die ihr gerade darum aber zutiefst heimisch sind. Der Essay kommt dabei zu dem Schluß, dass die Psychoanalyse nur durch ihre spielerische Preisgabe und Wiederaneignung überleben kann: Wiederholung, Ablenkung, Entstellung, Umweg - das, so zeigt (nicht unbedingt: sagt) uns Freud, sind die Weisen, wie wir uns der Wahrheit dessen, was uns bewegt, nähern können: Man muß mit der Wahrheit spielen, um sie zum Zuge zu bringen.
About the Author: Peter Schneider studierte Philosophie, Literaturwissenschaft und Psychologie. Er arbeitet seit fast zwanzig Jahren als Psychoanalytiker in Zürich und lehrt außerdem als Dozent in der psychotherapeutischen Fortbildung an der Universität Zürich sowie seit seiner Habilitation für Psychoanalyse als Privatdozent an der Universität Bremen. Neben seiner psychoanalytischen Tätigkeit ist er Autor einer täglichen satirischen Radiokolumne im Schweizer Radio sowie wöchentlich erscheinender Zeitungskolumnen (SonntagsZeitung, Tages-Anzeiger). Eine Sammlung seiner Kolumnen für den Tages-Anzeiger ist 2006 unter dem Titel Soll man nackte Menschen grüßen? erschienen. Veröffentlichungen u.a.: Wahnsinn und Methode.
