I wrote this book for all those individuals, from 16 to over 60, who are discovering that willpower, and reading the bible, daily devotionals, self-improvement & other relevant resources, combined with church attendance, have not been sufficient to provide, or maintain, the joy and fulfillment in life, that they are seeking. They are keenly aware of their need to acquire, or re-acquire, an abundant lifestyle of authentic, exhilarating, biblical freedom designed to provide, or restore, the fun, fulfillment and enjoyment of life again. Their zeal and passion for life is fading, and, they want it back...That's why I wrote this book.
Even the most Bible Thinking, God Walking, Upright Christian Believer will experience seasons of life that make them vulnerable, and susceptible, to the trouble that Jesus spoke about in his Gospels-here's what he said: "In this world, you will have trouble..." Turns out of course, that he was spot-on-navigating life in the fast-lane of this generation, can often be a significant struggle just to keep up...let alone get ahead of the trouble, that Jesus was talking about-however, he also said this, right afterward: "But, take heart! I have overcome the world..." that's exactly what he said, and, more importantly, he was inferring something else that he wants you and me to hear-it would read something like this:
I have conquered the world...and so can you!
Okay, so that begs a question... How did he do it? Jesus is making a strategic point here by inference. He is counseling us to actually anticipate the arrival of trouble in this life, and, to prepare ourselves for it-not to run from it, but, like him, to overcome it-to conquer it-to absolutely annihilate it. There is a way-he always makes a way for those who diligently seek him with all their heart. Jesus went on to inspire the Apostle Paul to write these words in the New Testament book of Galatians:
Gal. 5:1 It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and
do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (NIV)
This is Gods' gift of freedom to every believer, that I write so much about in my books. It comes to us first as a precious gift from God, and, he gives us some serious instruction-a commanding mandate, here in this scripture, to maintain that spiritual freedom... To cherish it, and to keep ourselves from losing it, through some kind of trouble ramping up in our life. Whether that trouble takes on the form of just a little more anxiety and stress you're dealing with, or maybe a bad habit you want to get rid of, or even a more serious addiction to something like booze, drugs, porn or some other freedom bandit-something that's wreaking serious havoc in your life.
Whatever the cause, you'll need an effective plan, designed to acquire, or re-acquire, and maintain that biblical freedom, at a very high level. That plan is meticulously weaved into the pages of this book. It's way more than a devotional, and substantially more than a bible study. It's a very comprehensive, Christian Lifestyle System that you can plug your life into. A powerful, life-action plan leading you to more peace and freedom-it's designed to put you on a path of thriving more, striving less, and thoroughly enjoying life... as Jesus has always intended for you.
