Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Arbeit, Beruf, Ausbildung, Organisation, Note: 1,7, Universität Bielefeld (Soziologie), Veranstaltung: Sozialstrukturanalyse, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Paul-Hermann Gruner behauptet in seinem Buch "Frauen und Kinder zuerst", dass Frauen und insbesondere Feministinnen selbst schuld sind, wenn ihre Arbeiten kritisiert werden. Sie suchen die Opferrolle und sie ist ja auch bequemer. Das vielbeschworene Patriarchat ist seiner Meinung nach noch existent, weil "...ein Regelwerk zwischen zwei Vertragsparteien, das ausschließlich auf Kosten einer Partei existiert..." binnen kurzer Zeit zusammenbricht und unmöglich 2500 Jahre bestehen kann. Die 100jährige Sklaverei der Schwarzen in Nordamerika, die Apartheid in Südafrika, der 70 Jahre andauernde Kommunismus einschließlich Lenins und Stalins Regentschaft sowie Hitlers vergleichsweise kurzer Auftritt in der Geschichte sollen beweisende Beispiele sein. Er resümiert: "Wer so lange vergeblich auf sein Recht pocht...ist entweder unfähig...oder...es gibt sie so gar nicht, diese Benachteiligung, und das Getöse von der Herrschaft des Mannes ist eine Behauptung mit äußerst begrenztem Wahrheitsgehalt." Er schlussfolgert, dass es sie also gegeben haben muss, die angenehmen Seiten der Männerherrschaft. Barbara Bierach äußert sich in ihrem Buch "Das dämliche Geschlecht" ganz ähnlich: Sie bemängelt, dass der Frauenanteil im Management verschwindend gering ist und stellt fest, dass sich erschreckend viele als Hausfrau und Mutter mit Mitte 30 in ein Vorstadtviertel zurückziehen. Aber gerade jene Frauen, resümiert sie, sind es dann, die sich darüber beschweren, dass die Anderen, die Männer, die Macht haben. Was also hält Frauen in Deutschland davon ab, eine Karriere anzustreben und sich 50 Prozent ihres Machtanteils einzufordern? Bierach betont, dass nicht die allein erziehenden Mütter gemeint sind, die von Sozialhilfe leben, sondern jene, die die besten Voraussetzungen haben: Junge Akademik
