He has also been a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery, and was the Director of MIT's Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. Agarwal is the President of a edX, an initiative between MIT and Harvard University that provides free online education. In 2004, Agarwal and his team were awarded a Guinness World Record for LOUD. This device is the largest microphone array in the world, and has the capacity to correctly pinpoint, track, and amplify individual voices in a crowd. He has also received the MIT: Smullin Prize.

    Read this in one evening. I had planned to do other things with my day, but it was impossible to put down. Every time I tried, I was drawn back to it in less than 5 minutes. I sobbed my eyes out the entire last 100 pages. Highly recommend!
