About the Book

Classy Di and Ardi, domestic partners for sixteen years and owners of an uber successful event planning company, decide to fulfill their dream of becoming foster parents. Within hours of returning to Detroit from Florida, they open the doors of their large home to three stunningly beautiful kids. It doesn't take long for the couple to detect dialect reminiscent of Jodie Foster's character Nell, feral mannerisms and proclivities towards incest. Quickly discovering the children couldn't be any more rudimentary as ABC's, utensils, holidays, and even toys are foreign to the siblings. As Di and Ardi seek assistance in integrating creepy Duke (7), clumsy Liz (2), and cunning Ally (6) into society, they're met with legendary resistance. Suddenly, the two find themselves subjects of a witch hunt by a "good ole girl" network of social workers who abhor gays. When the birth parents rear their ugly heads, it becomes evident that the mental and cognitive issues evident in the siblings are innate. No one hates Di and Ardi more than the maliciously schizophrenic mother who brazenly invades their private life. Jointly, the trio meet 16 classifications of abuse. In spite of their sub-cultural upbringing and being labeled morons; the bizarre brood makes astounding progress. As their development continues, the intensity of the agency subterfuge inexplicably ramps up. Is it because the caseworkers don't want to deal with a gay couple or the plethora of issues the children are afflicted with? Or, is the agency purposely withholding information, preferring to see the foster parents and children remain silent? Many professionals working in this field for decades have never encountered such chaos, and classify it as the most interesting foster care case they've ever known in Michigan. Fostering Chaos!! is unique! It's written from the lesbian foster parent's view of dealing with mentally and physically deficient and violent oddballs, parents who are habitual liars, rogue social workers, a corrupt agency, Child Protective Services, and a perceptive magistrate. Fostering Chaos!! enthralls as the author recalls a provocative, soul-bearing journey with a bit of humor to distract from the lunacy of it all. Birth process, child abuse and dysfunctional environments have been known to stunt the brains capacity to retain information. Compile that with inherent mental illness, and derangement becomes either a constant state of mind or an event triggers chaos. Unfortunately, the minds of children are corrupted far too early now-a-days. Fads or music can be blamed but in this instance, Liz, Ally and Duke aren't running around playing sports or being artsy due to improper influences of whatever subculture they were thrust into. A positive environment is crucial to the betterment of a child because kids mock adults whom they have to obey. The examples set are the examples followed.
