If you have ever traveled deep into the forest, they were around, but you wouldn't have known. They are small and blend in well with their surroundings. When they remain perfectly still, they are nearly impossible to spot.
They are the Forest Keepers. Only inches tall, they have remained undetected for thousands of years, that is, until one fateful day when the unimaginable happens to them. Their friend Lilla, a delicate Floradilly, is captured by a biology professor.
The fate of the Forest Keepers is in the hands of five brave volunteers as they set out to rescue her. Determined to bring their friend back, the team must stay at the edge of the forest, where they risk being seen by humans as they face the nearly impossible task of rescuing Lilla from the human world.
While on their rescue mission, Autumn, a quirky 10-year-old, spots one of them. Now, Finean, a Druwillow, must convince the others to break the rule of no contact with humans and entrust her to help them rescue Lilla. Autumn has to come up with a plan without her mom and nosey sister finding out what she's up to.
With time running out, Autumn and this fascinating group of creatures embark on a thrilling adventure as they rush to save Lilla before it's too late.
Readers will fall in love with these fascinating tiny forest creatures and the beautiful bond of friendship that is formed as the Forest Keepers teach Autumn the invaluable lesson that it's okay to be different.
