EDEN AS TIDAL POOL GARDEN
The author suggests The Garden of Eden as a kind of tidal pool garden, an underwater laboratory in which God, The Molecular Biologist, created all animal life on the Earth. This possibility was hinted in Genesis Chapter 2, verse 4 and 5. The Scriptures read, "The Lord had sent no rain upon the Earth...but a stream was welling up out of the earth and was watering all the surface of the ground." Also in verse 10, The Scriptures read, "a river rises in Eden to water the garden."
TREE OF LIFE, TREE OF KNOWLEDGE
With Eden as an underwater garden, the author further suggests The Tree of Life and The Tree of Knowledge as the biological structures from which all animal life on the planet originated. In stripping away all supernatural elements from the myth story, while holding to Biblical Scripture, the author attempts a retelling of the myth story from a purely scientific perspective. In keeping with this proposition, The Tree of Life is redefined as the structure that provided the male reproductive cell; The Tree of Knowledge is redefined as the structure that provided the female reproductive cell; The Forbidden Fruit, itself, is redefined as The Reproductive Egg.
THE EATING OF THE FRUIT
From these suppositions, and with Biblical Scripture as his guide, the author reinterprets "The Eating of the Forbidden Fruit," recorded in the book of Genesis, as "The Absorption of the Reproductive Egg into the Female Body." This new interpretation of The Garden of Eden Myth Story, reconciles two important questions regarding the myth story. These questions are:
1) How can eating a fruit cause a man and a woman to realize that they are naked?
2) How can eating a fruit cause a female to experience pain in childbirth?
Other little mysteries concerning life on Earth made more understandable by this new interpretation of The Garden of Eden Myth Story include our often bizarre attitude toward sex, The Alien Abduction Phenomenon, and, concerning the chicken and the egg...which one came first?
This book is a companion work to the author's first book, To The Faithless and The Unbelieving BERTRAM GREY, which was Runner-Up at the 2014 Green Book Festival and Runner-Up at the 2014 Southern California Book Festival.
