In this third book of a trilogy that chronicles major turning points in his spiritual journey, author Ronald Gelaude shares his discovery of a new life in the midst of grief over inexplicable loss.
Foolish Trust explores life as a mystifying confluence of emotion, intellect, will, and heart. Yet, amid all the uncertainty, chaos, and theological confusion, there is something beyond reason waiting for you.
At its core, this is a book about the raw beauty and majestic nature of hope. It isn't always found in the questions you might ask in your darkest moments-such as "Why, God, why?" and "When, God, when?" Rather, there is power in faith without easy answers.
Combining his genuine desire to help others with well-honed storytelling skills and unique life experiences, Gelaude offers an uplifting message to others wrestling with their faith: you can love again.
About the Author: Ronald Gelaude is a former church-planting pastor with the Great Lakes Conference of the Evangelical Covenant Church. He holds a BRE in pastoral studies from William Tyndale College, a master's in theological studies from Michigan Theological Seminary, and a master's in communication studies from Eastern Michigan University.
Though he is retired, he continues to pursue God's call to service through his writing and in local churches near his Brighton, Michigan, home. He is the author of The Religion of Jesus, Crazy Shepherd Crazy Sheep, and, most recently, Foolish Trust-three works of nonfiction comprising a trilogy about his life, losses, and personal struggle with faith and reason.
