About the Book

Fish O'Toole's Adventures at Professor Preps' Academy, Volume II is a children's book based at a fictional preparatory academy located in a fictional town, Big Town, USA. The academy was founded in the year 1912 by a retired professor Abraham Preps and his wife Yvonne who was also a retired teacher. The couple had a desire to create an enchanting school where children could have fun adventures while learning. Their wish was for all the children to be able to experience music, art and sports with enough freedom to create and explore their environment. Their legacy lives on today in the halls and fields of Professor Preps' Academy. At Professor Preps' Academy, the children have their own library, craft hut, sports field, music hall and swimming pool. The cafeteria is always filled with delicious snacks and meals lovingly created by the cook, Mrs. Biscuits. The boys and girls have their own dorms that they share with their pets. They have the love and support from Mr. and Mrs. Mopps who are the good-humored caretakers of the school. They happily oversee the activities of the energetic group of youngsters. This is the second volume in the series. In this volume, the children continue with their fun-loving adventures as they plan a Spring dance, visit a local carnival and participate in a duck race. This is a book for all ages. The entire family will enjoy the humorous stories and the delightful illustrations. The reader will soon discover that Professor Preps' Academy is a magical place where the air is filled with laughter and the smells of fresh baked cookies and cakes!
About the Author: Joseph Copeland and his wife Yvonne live in Sylacauga, Alabama, along with an assortment of rescue cats. Joseph is an author and illustrator. He has published "Fish O'Tooles' Adventures at Professor Preps' Academy, Volumes I and II" which are stories that take place at a fictional preparatory academy in a fictional town called Big Town, USA. He is also the illustrator of the children's book "Victorious Victor Byrd" by Donna Rentfrow and Amber Behnke. Joseph draws his inspiration for his stories and illustrations from his childhood memories and from the antics of his beloved pets. Joseph's pen name is Fish O'Toole which is based on a nickname that was given to him by one of his friends when he was a child. Joseph is a self-taught artist and credits a childhood activity with his current artistic skills. When he was a child, his father was in the Air Force and his family made many long trips in their car. He had two sisters and a brother who would entertain him with a game they called the "Scribble Game". His older siblings would challenge to create a picture from a scribble that one of them would draw on a sheet of paper. He became very creative with his drawings over time. Joseph is also a music lover and began playing drums after watching The Beatles perform on the Ed Sullivan Show. He continued to play his drums into adulthood and performed with groups such as Revolver, Age of Innocence and AWB.
