Der junge Heinrich Wilkowsky entzieht sich 1933 durch Eintritt in die Reichswehr seiner Verhaftung. Dort trifft er auf den Kriminalrat Thurnbrück. Das Schicksal führt diese beiden sehr unterschiedlichen Männer immer wieder zusammen und es entwickelt sich eine gegenseitige Abhängigkeit, die bis in die Nachkriegsjahre hineinreicht: Thurnbrück hatte dem Soldaten Wilkowsky das Entkommen aus Stalingrad ermöglicht. Wilkowsky, Zeuge von Erschießungen, wird sich später an nichts erinnern. Heinrich Wilkowsky sucht die Nähe zu den Frauen, aber er denkt erst Jahre nach dem Krieg ernsthaft über eine eigene Familie nach. Frühere Versuche scheitern an seinem starken Freiheitswillen: Er muss ungebunden und unabhängig sein. Er kennt nur sein Glück, sieht nicht den Schmerz, den er vielen Frauen zufügt. Es gelingt ihm immer wieder, in unangenehmen Situationen abzutauchen - wie ein Fisch. Begleiten wir Heinrich Wilkowsky durch eine Zeit, die von Tyrannei, Zerstörung und Wiederaufbau geprägt ist.
About the Author: Dr. Uwe Trostmann wurde 1952 im Schwarzwald geboren. Aufgewachsen und gelebt hatte er die meiste Zeit in Freiburg und im Breisgau, bevor es ihn vor wenigen Jahren noch weiter südlich nach Kandern zog. Als Naturwissenschaftler hatte er über 30 Jahre in der pharmazeutischen Industrie gearbeitet. Beruflich und privat bereiste er große Teile der Welt und ist auch heute noch sehr viel unterwegs. Zuhause fühlt er sich aber im Schwarzwald. Auf seinen Reisen lernte Uwe Trostmann viele Länder und unterschiedliche Menschen kennen, deren Lebensweisen, soziale und politische Strukturen sein Interesse für Politik und Geschichte weckten. Mit Beginn der Rente widmete er sich vermehrt diesen Themen und vor allem der neueren deutschen Vergangenheit und der aktuellen Politik. Die Geschichte der Menschen zwischen den Weltkriegen und während des Aufbaus der BRD und auch die aktuellen sozialen und politischen Veränderungen sind Thema seiner ersten Bücher. Angeregt durch die dramatischen sozialen und politischen Veränderungen in unserem Land, schrieb er sein Erstlingswerk Fake - Der Lügenfaktor, was seit 2017 als Buch vorliegt. Anfang 2020 wurde die erste Version überarbeitet und mit dem Titel Fake oder die Wahrheitsmacher neu herausgegeben. In seinem aktuellen Werk Fischhaut setzt er sich mit dem Leben eines Deutschen auseinander, der zwischen 1930 und im Nachkriegsdeutschland sein persönliches Glück zu finden sucht. Kurz vor der Veröffentlichung steht sein neues Werk Wie die Nummer 5 zum Halten kam, eine Sammlung von autobiografischen Erzählungen aus seiner Jugendzeit in Freiburg Haslach.
