About the Book

Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. 14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. The writer of the book of Hebrews had just censured those whom he had addressed, telling them that though they were at an age when they should be eating meat, they were such that still needed milk. He tells them that they need to get with the program and start eating meat. He says that they ought to be teachers, but they still behave as babes. This seems to be a perpetual problem in the Church through the ages. The commission Jesus gave to the disciples was to go and make disciples (teach all nations), teaching them to go and teach others the things which He had commanded them ("TEACHING THEM TO OBSERVE ALL THINGS WHATSOEVER I HAVE COMMANDED YOU"- He had just commanded them to go and teach those who were entrusted to them to make disciples). We derive our English word "discipline" from the word "Disciple." The Christian walk is a walk of discipline. It was to be an ongoing thing. We make disciples, and then we teach them to make disciples. But in order to make disciples, we ourselves should understand the basic principles that Jesus taught.
About the Author: Since 1988 Lance Rowe has ministered on the streets of America as a evangelist, and in churches as a prophetic voice to the Body of Christ to repent of it's conformity to the world and to obey the Great Commission in exercising their God given authority to further the Kingdom of God here on this earth in their lifetime. In 2001, Lance began an intercessory prayer walk up the Mississippi River on behalf of the Church in America, and it was on that journey that the Lord instilled a passion in him to see the Body of Christ awaken to the need to fulfill the purpose of the Great Commission. During the course of his years in ministry, Lance has discovered that most Christians don't witness because they aren't confident with their Biblical knowledge. Most Christians start their walk with Christ and end their walk with Christ as undiscipled once-or twice a week members of an exclusive social group. In the mean time, the world slips farther and farther into moral decay. They might live good lives, and be faithful to their fellowship, but are for the most part inactive their witness to others about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. In 2001, Lance developed a discipleship course for all Christians based on Hebrews 6:1-2, the Principles of the doctrine of Christ, designed to equip the disciple with the confidence and the Biblical knowledge he or she needs to be an effective witness for Jesus Christ. This book is the product of his years of experience.
