Author Deon O'Garro's first book is a unique pairing of two contrasting novellas: one, a biting political comedy, and the other, a supernatural thriller.
In The First Lady, Senator Dick Hardwood thinks he's got the US presidential election in the bag, especially since he's not above a bit of sabotage and blackmail. He's even handpicked his opponent, Joe Cooper-a quiet, spotlight-shunning Republican senator from San Francisco with a secret Harwood is sure will keep him from winning.
Then, it all goes haywire, and soon, underdog Joe Cooper and his spouse-the most unusual first "lady" in history-are headed to the White House.
Impossible Life is the strange story of a love that survives death-with terrifying results. When Amanda and her best friend, Sharon, were pregnant, their unborn children-Ryan and Amber-shared an obvious bond, and the mothers jokingly married the babies before they were even born.
Then tragedy strikes: Sharon, her husband, and their baby daughter all pass away within two days of Ryan's birth. But it turns out that Amber's connection to Ryan transcends the mortal realm, and Amanda must go to extraordinary lengths to keep her son safe from an increasingly dangerous spirit.
About the Author: Deon O'Garro never expected to become an author. He was born in Port of Spain and grew up on the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. He began his professional life in the construction industry, and he carried those skills with him when he came to the United States.
After years of working as a contractor, he began dreaming of successful creative endeavors, with each dream becoming more detailed. Plot, characters, and style seeped into his subconscious and would not relent until he transcribed them.
This divine gift is O'Garro's true purpose, and he believes that these paired but contrasting novellas-his first published work-are only the beginning of what he can accomplish in the literary sphere.
