Eine Finanzmarktkrise, die eine weltweite Dimension erreicht hat. Die Krise ist bislang in ihrer internationalen Trageweite im Vergleich zu vergangenen Krisen beispiellos. Viele Experten meinen, dass diese Krise die schwerste Bankenkrise seit der Weltwirtschaftskrise 1929 sei. Der Internationale Währungsfonds schätzt den globalen Schaden momentan auf 4.000 Mrd. US-Dollar. Die Tendenz ist steigend. Durch die Finanzmarktturbulenzen kam es zu einer Vertrauenskrise der Kreditinstitute untereinander. Diese veranlasste die Bundesregierung mit verschiedenen Maßnahmen, in den Finanzsektor einzugreifen. Es wurde eine rein qualitative Analyse durchgeführt, die das Kundenverhalten und das Verhalten von Banken auf mögliche Wettbewerbsverzerrungen hin untersuchte. Das Ziel der Arbeit ist es, u.a. durch Experteninterviews herauszufinden sowie herauszuarbeiten, ob es in Deutschland durch die staatlichen Maßnahmen der Bundesregierung während der Finanzmarktkrise in den Finanzsektor, insbesondere bei Privatbanken, zu Wettbewerbsverzerrungen für Sparkassen und Genossenschaftsbanken kommen kann bzw. bereits gekommen ist. Im 2. Kapitel werden die Entstehung der Bankenkrise von 1931 und die Entstehung der aktuellen Finanzmarktkrise sowie deren Auswirkungen beschrieben. Ein detaillierter Zeitablauf der aktuellen Finanzmarktkrise befindet sich im Anhang. Das 3. Kapitel gibt zunächst einen Überblick über wirtschaftspolitische Instrumente des Staates und über die Geldpolitik der EZB. Danach werden die aktuellen staatlichen Maßnahmen der Bundesregierung in den Finanzsektor 2008 bis Mitte 2009 betrachtet. Im Anschluss daran werden mögliche Wettbewerbsverzerrungen insbesondere für Sparkassen und Genobanken herausgearbei
