We, women, has the problem in which we put others' wants before us. It is partly because of social norms and the way we were brought up or raised up. However, it could be because we lack of self-love. In fact, we could have self-love before it spill over to and for others. We need to be fulfilled before we add up others' lives and wants. We should prioritize us ourselves. If we pour in while we lack, it ends up two lacks of. Even poorer. In contrast, if we are full and we let that spill over to others, then there are two full.
We start self-love with the great relationship with self and then with money. Relationship with self is the same as that with money. Start with self-love and then let that spill over to relationship with money.
To initiate self-love, this journal allows you to put three great things about you: Why are you worth loving? If you don't know, which is normal, ask those who care about you or who love you, they certainly know. Put three great things in this journal for 50 days. No repeat. Be specific. What good or great things you do today that people love and they of course love who you are? You do a certain thing because of your character. Put your character and why you do in the journal: what are you worth loving for?
Don't please everyone; you won't have your life. Stand for yourself. If they love you, they will love you anyway. If they don't, no matter how much you pay or please them, they still don't love you anyway.
The journal does not only let you see your self-love (work on yourself), but also let you better your performance. For a reason, self-love can be a mindset. Don't simply work on mindset only. While being aware of self-love, you can also improve your performance. The journal provides four questions during the first 50 days: (1) What works?; (2) What not work?; (3) Research and Development. Innovate.; and (4) Challenge. You keep what works while disregard what not works or find ways to improve it through research and development or innovate. Last but not least, get out of your comfort zone every day by finding a challenge and overcome it. It can be going to the new place, meeting new people, stretching yourself a bit more in yoga class, and talking to ones who you have never expected to make contact, to name a few.
Next, it's time to work on your finances. There are income and expense tracking sheets. In expense part, we put savings which means we put us before other spending and before others. Then, savings can be used for investment, education for investment, retirement, rainy days, ..., for Yourself. Set up a time slot of the day to do your finance, like sum up or plan to save and spend. It can be right after waking up or before bedtime or during the break. There are 6 months income and expense sheet. Moreover, there are 26-week weekly financial statement. Financial statement consists of income-expense statement and balance sheet, having asset and liability. So, you can see your wealth status every week.
You can work on self-love part and then go on to the finance part. Or even better, start with your finances for a couple months to see your financial patterns, then work on your self-love part. Finally, get back on to finances part to see if you improve your finance, after your self-love part done. It's the process or called journey. Everyone has their own pace of moving forward. You can work on it at whatever age. Enjoy the process.
