About the Book

Final Margin Calls is the sequel to Out of the Darkness Came a Hunter. Jim Sheridan is a successful attorney who is sliding into retirement just as the banking crisis is washing over the country. This financial tsunami was taking the retirement savings of a generation along with it. The legal system seemed unable or unwilling to bring to justice those who perpetrated and profited from the greatest financial scam in history. Suddenly wealthy investment bankers began to turn up dead. Someone it seemed had decided that letting bank robbers walk away with their loot wasn't acceptable under every circumstance. Jim Sheridan is contacted by his long ago military attorney and friend to help him find who is responsible for this epidemic of brutal murders.
About the Author: About The Author Tom Williams is a veteran of the Vietnam War and a former Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. He holds master degrees in finance, accounting, and taxation. Other Novels by Tom Williams 1.West into the Rising Sun is the first book of a trilogy that chronicles the life of Michael Flanagan. He was a fighter pilot in both World Wars and lived through the depredation of the Great Depression. This novel takes Flanagan through the era of the Pan Am Clippers and the Sino-Japanese War to the days following the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. 2.Setting of the Rising Sun is the second book of the trilogy. Michael Flanagan entered the Second World War late because no one wanted an over the hill fighter pilot when the war started. That was until there was a need for his contacts in Burma that he had made working for Chinese Nationals during their war with the Japanese. His involvement in Asia continued after the war as he ran a Trans-Pacific cargo airline and searched for his wife who went missing when the Japanese invaded Hong Kong. 3.The Longest Road Home is the third book in the trilogy. Jack Rogers, a younger version of Flanagan, comes out of the meat grinder of the Vietnam War with the vague knowledge of someone that he left behind. In a search to resolve his emotional issues, Jack Rogers returns to Indochina as a civilian. Just as Flanagan already was, Rogers also got caught up in the turmoil of the endless violence of this conflict. Though two generations apart these men work together to bring a final resolution and closure for those who fought there, on both sides. 4.Out of the Darkness Came a Hunter is the prelude to Final Margin Calls. The 1960's were a time of racial conflict and military confrontation in Asia. After living in New York all his life, the Army transferred Jim Sheridan to a post in the Deep South. At this time the defenders of segregation were making their last stand in a vain attempt to bolster the status quo. His country was being ripped apart along racial lines. At the same time the war in Vietnam was escalating and opening another deep wound in the soul of the country. He didn't understand the rationality for either of these conflicts, but found himself in the middle of both. The emotional forces of love and hate generated by these conflicts shaped Sheridan from what he was into what he became.
