Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Film und Fernsehen, Note: 1,3, Universität Potsdam (Künste und Medien), Veranstaltung: Avantgarde Film der 20er Jahre, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Versucht man, die 20er Jahre in Berlin mit einem Wortpaar zu beschreiben, scheint "oberflächliche Veränderung" dieser Epoche am ehesten gerecht zu werden. Der Erste Weltkrieg war vorüber und in der Welt, in Deutschland, in Berlin vollzog sich ein Wandel, der keinen Bereich ausließ. Die komplexen Veränderungen in Berlin können als beispielhaft für eine Zeit gelten, in der sich der Schock des Krieges mit der Chance auf einen Neuanfang zu paaren schien. Der Erste Weltkrieg hinterließ in Deutschland eine unruhige politische Kraterlandschaft, die gekennzeichnet war durch den steten Kampf zwischen unterschiedlichen politischen Strömungen. Versuchte oder erfolgreich durchgeführte Attentate auf Politiker wie Matthias Erzberger (1921), Philipp Scheidemann und Walther Rathenau (1922) sowie Putschversuche von Rechts wie der Kapp-Putsch 1920 und der Hitlerputsch 1923 und Revolutionsversuche von Links wie der Spartakusaufstand 1919 und der Mitteldeutsche Aufstand 1921 zeigten die Motivation von Bevölkerungsgruppen der jungen Demokratie die Stirn zu bieten. Die Kämpfe zwischen Kommunisten und SA auf den Straßen Berlins und anderer deutscher Städte ab Mitte der 20er Jahre bewiesen, dass diese Motivation im Laufe der Zeit eher noch stärker als schwächer wurde. Wirtschaftlich waren die Jahre von einem scheinbaren Gegensatz geprägt. Während bis 1923 die Inflation stetig stieg und erst unter der Regierung Stresemanns durch die Einführung der Rentenmark gestoppt werden konnte, stellte sich in der zweiten Hälfte der 20er Jahre der Erfolg des Dawes-Plans und der damit verbundenen amerikanischen Kredite ein, die unter anderem auch eine Veränderung der Filmlandschaft bewirkten. Die wirtschaftliche Stabilisierung ab 1924 hielt bis 1929 an und gab dieser Zeit das Attribut "Go
