Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Medien / Kommunikation - Theorien, Modelle, Begriffe, Note: 1,3, Universität Regensburg (Institut für Medien, Sprache und Kultur), Veranstaltung: Medientheorien der Sexualität, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die vorliegende Seminararbeit befasst sich mit dem Thema "Fetischismus-Begriffe", insbesondere mit einer Analyse des sexuellen Fetischismus-Begriffs von Sigmund Freud und des von Karl Marx entwickelten Begriffs des Warenfetischismus. Fetischismus ist ein im 19. Jahrhundert entdecktes Phänomen, das die "Bindung des Begehrens von Individuen oder Kollektiven an einen Fetisch" beschreibt. Die Tatsache, dass der Fetischismus in diversen Bereichen des Lebens rund um den Globus aufzufinden ist, dass dieser Begriff in den verschiedensten Kontexten gebraucht wird und unterschiedlichste Konnotationen hervorruft, hat mein Interesse an diesem Thema geweckt. Zweifelsohne wird der Fetischismus heutzutage überwiegend mit Sexualität in Verbindung gebracht, allerdings wurde dieses Fetischismus-Konzept am spätesten von allen, nämlich erst in den 1980er Jahren von Alfred Binet entdeckt. Neben der Analyse des sexuellen Fetischismus-Begriffs und der des Warenfetischismus beschäftigt sich diese Seminararbeit mit der Frage, ob in unterschiedlichen Fetisch-Konzepten ähnliche oder sogar gleiche Strukturen vorzufinden sind. Durch die Analyse der beiden Fetisch-Begriffe wird außerdem eine weitere Thematik gestreift, nämlich die Ausbreitung des Fetischismus in den verschiedensten Bereichen unserer Kultur. Zu Beginn der Arbeit beschäftige ich mich zunächst eingehend mit der Genese des sexuellen Fetischismus-Begriffs von Sigmund Freud. Da dieser sich mit dem Thema Fetischismus in keiner größeren Einzelstudie auseinandergesetzt hat, liegen die Quellen in keiner systematischen Ordnung vor.
