Following an accident at a quantum research facility in Texas, Earth's reality was altered. Monsters of legend now walk the earth. The Bureau of Preternatural Relations and Control was established to deal with the dangerous ones (they're ALL dangerous) and broker good relations with the ones willing to make peace. The setting is in the Deep South and deals with the work of Agent Liam Sullivan who is assigned to BPRC's office in Mobile, Alabama. Make no mistake, this is no faerie tale. The monsters are really monsters, not the brooding bad boys of modern cinema; a point Agent Sullivan makes quite clear.In this first of a series (Files of the BPRC) Agent Sullivan is sent to the deep woods of Louisiana after a murderous pack of feral werewolves whose very existence and odd behavior break all the known rules. Together with his partner, "Jonesy" and their local contact, Deputy Sam Gorman, Liam is off on a harrowing, fast-paced adventure as the hunters become willing prey in order to rid the area of an eerily hard to kill threat. Twists abound as do dramatic scenes punctuated by Liam's sardonic wit.
About the Author: Timothy Knight, a life-long resident of Alabama, is a retired cop, an avid martial artist, a firearms aficionado, gamer-geek, movie hound, voracious reader, and occasionally dabbles in home improvement usually to his own detriment. He manages to be a chronic cynic and a hopeless romantic all at the same time (which is not as easy as it sounds as it takes a lot of practice). He has dabbled in writing stories beginning as far back as first grade (a harrowing one-page tale featuring the budding friendship between an anthropomorphic bit of fruit and a bipedal rabbit). In his previous career (besides reams of written statements he was required to write to explain his "unique" sense of humor and INTJ personality-inspired "attitude") he often wrote press releases, a few news articles, hundreds of reports and case files, and just enough amusing or touching pieces to keep him in good enough graces to remain employed for a quarter century in the same department. He is currently a firearms instructor, jujutsu, aikido, and knife instructor, and co-owner of a tactical self-defense instruction service. He lives in South Alabama together with his wonderful (and more importantly very patient) wife with whom he shares 5 adult offspring and an ever-growing brood of grandchildren that for some odd reason adore him.
