About the Book
Giants, mermaids, laser beams, four-headed creatures, transhumanism, vampires, and teleporting are not your usual themes for a nice Bible study in church, right? Wrong! 'The Father's Love' series is on a mission to change that notion and suggest a fantastical spin on the exploits of the heroes and heroines of The Faith. Re-told in contemporary, colorful language, the reader is whisked off to a time when gods walked freely among men. Stories of the human condition, very reminiscent of our time, are splashed on the pages, depicting the flawed and the divine through tales of lies, betrayal, revenge, lust, intrigue, love, hope, and redemption. Breaking the Bible stories into monthly bite-sizes, 'The Father's love - Volume1- January' recounts the beginning of it all; from the fall of the Prince of darkness, Paradise lost for mankind, all the way to the arrival of the son of promise- Isaac. With accounts from the Torah, extra-biblical texts, and a vivid imagination, the reader is ushered into the world of the passionate affair between the Creator and humanity-the greatest love epic ever! Book Excerpt (reprinted by permission) As the god of Earth, Ha-Satan kept his eyes on these Grigori and his ears on The Grapevine. He was pleased to discover that this particular bunch constantly bemoaned their status as Watchers, who could only observe these women and nothing else. They were frustrated with the fact that they could never act on their feelings because God forbade any physical interactions of that type with the women. Ha-Satan realized that with the right encouragement and push, he could talk these discontented angels into doing the dirty deed of corrupting the human bloodlines for him."What better way to spit in the face of the Old Man than getting these foolish angels to foul up the women of Earth and their children forever?" Ha-Satan told his Council of Chiefs."Now, that is a genius plan!" His lackeys applauded him. So, off he went to find Samyaza, the leader of this set of dissatisfied Grigori. And just as The Grapevine said he'd be, Ha-Satan found him; giggling foolishly as he ogled the Earthen women while they had their bath in the crystal waterfall below the rock on which he was perched. Silently, he crept behind the angel to watch him for a few minutes, pleased to see that The Grapevine was so apt in the description of Samyaza's infatuation with the women. He could barely contain his excitement."Enjoying the view, I suppose," Ha-Satan casually said, finally making his presence known. Samyaza turned to him with a bored expression."I was wondering when you were going to announce yourself, Dark lord," Samyaza sarcastically said with a mocking nod before turning back to smile at the laughing girls below. You see, apart from being a Grigori, he was also of the warrior class of angels. So, he had been aware of Ha-Satan all the time he was standing behind him."It is good to see you too, brother," Ha-Satan replied, a warm smile plastered on his face. Truthfully, he did not care for the mocking tone in the lower angel's voice, but he was not going to let that disrupt his plan. On a good day, he would have pulverized Samyaza for his insolence. However, he needed to befriend this particular angel as he was the key to his evil plans. "And to what do I owe this visit, Lucifer?" Samyaza asked, not taking his eyes off the bathing beauties. Ha-Satan smiled, pleased to hear his former name."Oh, nothing really. Just checking in on some talk I heard, you know," Ha-Satan said airily, materializing right beside the Grigori leader to look down at the collection of women Samyaza was watching. He shuddered, wondering why anyone would want these clay statues. The last time he had tried to 'befriend' one, he had ended up crawling in the dust with his legs and wings yanked off. "I see, and what talk is this?" Samyaza just as airily asked. He knew the former anointed cherub paid no one a visit for nothing...
