After building the Kaabah, Abraham prayed unto Allah and said: -My Lord, Make this city of Makkah into a secure sanctuary -My Lord, Keep me and my sons away from worshiping idols -My Lord, truly the idols have led many of humankind astray -Whoever follows my religion and obeys me, he verily is of me -Whoever disobeys me, truly You are the Forgiving, the Merciful -Our Lord, You know what we hide, of the love of Ishmael and Hagar -Our Lord, You know what we proclaim, of the love of Isaac and Sarah -Nothing is hidden from Allah in the earth or in the heaven Allah appointed the Kaabah, to be a place of sanctuary Make the place where Abraham stood a place of prayer Allah commanded Abraham and Ishmael to purify the Kaabah from idols My Lord! Make Makkah secure, safe and free of agitation Abraham is pleading for Makkah to be place of peace and security My Lord! Bestow upon its people and give them many fruits Abraham and Ishmael built the Kaabah and made it ready for worshippers They said: O our Lord! Accept from us the building of Your House Abraham and Ishmael continued praying; they said: Our Lord! Make of us and of our progeny Muslims bowing to Your Will Our Lord! Show us, our ceremonies for the pilgrimage, Our Lord! Lo! You are the Relenting who overlooks shortcomings Abraham and Ishmael continued their supplications saying: O our Lord! Send them a Messenger from among their own lineage Our Lord! Send among the people of this House, a messenger, one of them, who: -Shall recite to them Your revelations, (the Quran) -Shall Teach them the Book, and Wisdom, and -Shall Purify them of idolatry and shall make them pure -Shall Purify their sins through the declaration Allah's Oneness Allah granted Abraham this petition with the sending of the Prophet Muhammad. Abraham enjoined upon his sons this creed saying: -O my sons! Allah has chosen for you the true religion, -O my sons! Hold fast to Islam until you die as Muslims O believers! Say: -We believe in Abraham and his Scripture, -We believe in Ishmael and his Scripture, -We believe in Isaac and his Scripture, -We believe in Jacob and his Scripture, -We believe in Moses and his Scripture, -We believe in Jesus and his Scripture, -We believe in all the prophets and their Scriptures Abraham said: Allah is He Who: -Created me, and He Guides me to the Truth, -Provides for me with food to eat and with water to drink, -Cures me when I am sick, -Will make me die then Will give me life again on the Day of Judgment, -Will, I hope, forgive me my iniquity on the Day of Reckoning In his Prayer, Abraham shows what his deepest wishes are, he said: -Grant me unerring judgement, vouchsafe me wisdom, -Grant me understanding and knowledge, -Unite me with the righteous, the messengers, in Paradise -Give unto me a good mention in the generations who come after me -Place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight -And do not disgrace me on the Day of Judgment Allah Grant Abraham a righteous son, Ishmael Ishmael was knowledgeable and gentle.
