About the Book

Months after the fall of the Wilkerson family. The town of Saint Helena is still reeling from the revelations of corruption, and Father O'Connor has become a symbol of hope. He's more involved in community life, trying to help those affected by the Wilkersons' crimes. However, lingering distrust remains among the townspeople, with some questioning the Church's involvement in past secrets. While visiting a grieving widow, Father O'Connor finds an anonymous note slipped into the parish's mailbox. It reads: "Justice is never done. You only saw what I allowed you to see." The note hints at a new layer of conspiracy surrounding the Wilkerson family and suggests that Father O'Connor may not have uncovered the full truth. Chapter 2: A New Crime Shortly after receiving the note, a prominent town figure, Daniel Mills, is found dead under suspicious circumstances. Mills was one of the few business leaders who survived the Wilkerson downfall, but he had a shady reputation and was suspected of collaborating with them. The local police believe it's suicide, but Father O'Connor feels something more sinister is at play. The crime scene includes strange symbols painted on the walls, symbols that Father O'Connor recognizes as ancient and occult in nature. Chapter 3: The Return of an Old Enemy As Father O'Connor investigates Mills' death, he uncovers clues that suggest the Wilkerson family's influence didn't end with Thomas Wilkerson's arrest. A shadowy group known as "The Circle" is mentioned in old parish documents-an underground organization involved in occult practices that has ties to both the Wilkersons and Saint Helena's past. Father O'Connor also discovers that Cole, his ally from the first book, had been looking into The Circle on her own before Mills' death.
: Behind The Circle
At the height of the confrontation, a shocking twist is revealed. Perhaps The Circle isn't just an evil organization out for power, but they believe they are warding off something far worse-an ancient, supernatural force that, if unleashed, could destroy the town entirely. This raises complex moral questions about whether their actions, while terrible, were unavoidable.
Father O'Connor knew this all too well. He had seen the devastation firsthand. The community he had come to love and serve was fractured; its spirit broken. For the last few months, he had thrown himself into the work of rebuilding trust, not just in the Church, but in the town itself. Every day brought new challenges, but despite the weight on his shoulders, he continued.
Today was no different.
Father O'Connor walked up the narrow steps of a small, weathered house on the edge of town, the home of Margaret Nichols, a recent widow. He adjusted his clerical collar, already feeling the familiar stirrings of discomfort. There was no preparing for these kinds of visits. Margaret's husband, Douglas, had been one of the casualties of the Wilkerson scandal, not in a public sense, but in a private way it had shattered his pride. He had worked for one of the Wilkerson family's many shell companies, and when the truth came out, so did the shame. Douglas couldn't live with it. Two weeks ago, he had taken his own life.
Father O'Connor knocked on the door, listening to the creaking wind and the faint rustle of dried leaves on the porch. The door opened slowly, and Margaret appeared, a woman hollowed by grief. Her face, once full and rosy with laughter, was pale and
