About the Book

The book deals with events that took place in the last hundred years.Describes real facts. It refers to the life of some people and a "father", a simple fighter, Nikos Karozis whose life was affected by global social unrest, beginning with the social upheaval of the economic downturn in America in 1930.This is followed by the global social unrest of World War II that lasted from 1939 to 1945. Then, follow the social unrest in Greece and specifically: The Greek Civil War that lasted from 1945 until 1948.The post-war reconstruction with the help of the Americans until 1967.The seven years 1967 until 1973 when Greece was ruled by the military. The events of the Polytechnic in Greece, on November 17, 1973. The after the handover of leadership to politicians, the year 1973, until today. The author, Giannis Karozis, lived and testifies to most of the events. The rest were narrated by his father Nikos Karozis and his uncle Theodosis Tsagatzonis, as well as his mother and other relatives, friends and strangers. The struggle for survival* of the "father" Nikos Karozis and the adverse conditions he faced in realizing the dreams that interest him in life, reflect his strength and his true inner world, the world of his soul, his romance. His unbridled * character always led him to the conclusion, not to give in to despair but to try and work, to set desirable goals and to continue dreaming about his life. The "FATHER HOME" is a biographical, autobiographical, historical book and refers to real events that happened in the last hundred years, starting the year 1923.It begins by describing biographical events from the village where a family lived in 1925 and historically from the beginning of World War II onwards. The main hero of the book is a "father" named "Nikos Karozis" who from an early age worked to support his family, from the age of twelve.Due to World War II and the enslavement of Greece by the Germans, at the age of seventeen, he participated, helped transport eighteen Greek Army officers from the coast of Attica to Alexandria, Egypt, where other Greek soldiers were stationed, the Battle of El Alamein, in the Royal Navy movement in the year one thousand nine hundred and forty four that took place in Alexandria. Participated in the Landing of the Allied Army in Italy and the Battle of Rimini, as well as at the end of the war, in the pursuit of the last nuclei of the enemy accompanied by convoys carrying food and supplies for the civilian population and the revitalization of the old Navy would help in the establishment of the new Greek Administration. He also participated in the peaceful reconciliation of the Greeks, from the civil war that was created after the liberation lasted essentially for at least five years, without the real truth of the events being restored to the Greek people. The big problem today that this book tries to solve is the ignorance that the reader has about the reasons that led the Greeks to the civil war and their self-destruction.One Greek killed the other Greek, his compatriot. The period of about seventy-five years from the civil war until today, may summarize the collective memory and tradition of a historical era, but it does not clarify the reasons that led the Greeks to the National Divide. The Greeks had planned everything related to the liberation. They had planned everything, until the release came.Until then, everything was fine, it was all honey - milk, they were all comrades, patriots and especially people, real fellow human beings. But they did not plan for the future. They had not organized, they did not know what would happen, what they would do when it arrived, the liberation would come. And that happened, the liberation came and the civil war because, while they had planned everything for the liberation except the liberation itself.!Conclusion: "We have to come up with a realistic, realistic plan for success and ..
